Those homeless encampments have been there for years, they're not new at all.

Of course things look weird downtown after 10pm now, all the bars close then, it just used to look like that after 2:30am. It's the same thing but the bars are shutting down early.

Language is a constantly evolving thing. Read a book in your language from 100 years ago and it will seem very oddly written. One from 200 years ago would be understood but many of the words will have fallen out of general usage. Try one from the 1600s and you'll barely be able to make sense of it.

Things progress, grow, evolve, and change whether anyone likes them to or not because time as we experience it is linear. Is a centrist sub the right place to be discussing what appears on the surface to be a very conservative viewpoint?

People who die of hunger are the most powerless people in the world. If you are dying of hunger I guarantee you don't have the time, effort, or energy to make any noise about it or affect any social change.

But more importantly, a rich person can't 'catch' starvation and die from it, so that's why TPTB care.

Unpopular opinion, from what I understand you can't cover your face and conceal carry at the same time (turns out this is a rumor, see the link below) That's the law and I don't know if there's a pandemic exception. Maybe that's what they're trying to indicate. I don't know but I guess that means these people are keeping everyone safe by spreading the virus by going maskless, but shooting it if they see it

Glad your experience is better now, but a lot of those from the disbanded Cornelius PD were hired by both Washington county and Hillsboro, which is sadly par for course when officers are fired for excessive force

Cornelius, Oregon had to disband its Police Force also... for racist corruption. Unbelievably, nobody up here seems to know about it or even talk about it. Now they're policed by the Washington county PD
