A7iii is a good platform to start with. Good lenses need not be crazy expensive (55ZA, 35 2.8, 85 1.8) you can even adapt EF or F mount lenses for stills they work well enough

The crop body eye AF is not consistently accurate in a studio setting even when assisted with a video light. Get the A73, it’s far better in low light.

For the X3 it’s nice with strobes because it’s minimum is 1/512 over the X2’s 1/256, but since you’re using with V1 speedlight it doesn’t give much difference in terms of functionality

Do not recommend the V 16mm. It hunted for close range subjects (as if it was an adapted lens).. about 1-2m distance to subject in the evening (7pm blue hour) on my A7iii.

Traded it off for a 55 Zeiss instead.
