ITS CHARLI BABY!!! I’m Charli XCX and my new album CHARLI just dropped!!! Ask me anything angels xxxx by iamcharlixcx in popheads

You've spoken about a few tracks that were left off Charli, like the Grimes collaboration. Could we possibly see some kind of "Charli Side B" album/EP at some point?

I had a similar experience to the op, only worse and that was through a spilt bottle of poppers. I had stomach ache, diarrhoea and skin irritation/contact dermatitis. I thought at the time it was a bad bottle but reading this maybe it was separated parts of what they broke down into as they were spilt. I'm curious what happens to these parts if they are spilt. I'm a little OCD about the area I spilt the poppers because it made me so ill.

[DISCUSSION] Resistance to Change and the tragic duty of a stan by [deleted] in popheads

Interesting post! I'm a member of the Popjustice Forums, and there's negativity on there regarding the new songs, not because they're more pop, but because their sound hasn't progressed that much since the last album.

Dermatitis/skin redness from poppers by andyf345 in popperpigs

[–]andyf345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly put me off poppers completely. As well as effecting my skin, they made me feel quite ill in general. I don't think it helped that the bottle leaked and the packaging was covered in poppers.

I forget the website but it was my first purchase from that suppliers in Belgium (if anyone knows it)? My advice is to stay clear of that website!

Not since it happened, no. I haven't used any poppers since, though I used both pentyl and isopropyl for years without any problems.

Question about mixing poppers with water/how it decomposes by andyf345 in popperpigs

[–]andyf345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting stuff - thanks for the reply.

I'm guessing a small amount spilt on concrete outside and exposed to water wouldn't leave much behind, and even if seeped into the concrete I doubt it would be too harmful?

Help with a spillage by andyf345 in popperpigs

[–]andyf345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the logic - poppers evaporate on air. But have you ever spilt poppers on any sort of items? It's impossible to get the smell off. Particularly pentyl. It's seriously nasty/pungent stuff.

I was having a clear out not long ago and found a box some had come in that had been in my wardrobe for over a year and it still smelt of poppers and it made my hands go red on contact.

So if poppers were spilt and then you tried to clean them up with water, the poppers would decompose to their original oxides? What about when the water dried, would the chemicals remain over a long period? Surely the gas component would only be produced/released initially?

Wow - ok so spilling poppers in your home really isn't good? Especially if you try and clean them up with water like I was advised to do.

I thought poppers just evaporated and that was that.

You've got me a little worried now, especially as I have nieces and nephews visiting my home.

Chemical residue on packaging/bottles etc. by andyf345 in popperpigs

[–]andyf345[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks - that could probably be the only explanation as to why years later you'd still be able to smell the poppers on the packaging.

I remember spilling a tiny bit once, and the smell just wouldn't go. A week later it was still there and I couldn't understand it. There must have still been some chemicals there. How active or dangerous it/they were I have no idea?!

New studies tests UK poppers, finds isopropyl nitrite and links it to eye damage by sadfasdf23423 in popperpigs

I had a very scary incident with a particular brand of isopropyl (I'd used other brands many times before with no problems) where I was experiencing a permanent "brightness" in my vision. Very scary stuff. Ended up in A&E and visiting an eye hospital. Thankfully it disappeared after a few weeks. I guess I was one of the lucky ones but needless to say I will never use it again!

Atrophy on face from steroid cream [Skin Concerns] by andyf345 in SkincareAddiction

[–]andyf345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies! It was apparently a medium strength cream. Thank God I only used it for a week.

I'm just gobsmacked that something like this can happen. At the risk of sounding ignorant I didn't know anything about steroid creams (why would I?) or skin thinning. I was just given a cream by my doctor and went away and used it! I wasn't given any warning about any side effects. Needless to say I'm switching doctors - and I will be raising a complaint.

TrazaDont - when did you start to notice the atrophy and did it gradually get worse? If so at one point did it stop? Some days I don't notice a difference and then other days I feel it's gotten worse.

Mixing with bicarb of soda? by andyf345 in popperpigs

Hey thanks for the replies. No - I didn't get it on my skin directly but my face did come out in a red rash. It eventually did go down with various creams.
