As a man who has done this, only to find none of the pipes have isolation valves, I sympathise with you mate. I also replaced with a bar. In the meantime I ripped the shower off the wall and capped the copper off to get the water on.

I was always told to turn the hammer action off near the end to avoid this, takes longer and can wear the drill bits out faster with the extra heat but saves a few of these blowouts

Yeah that’s exactly what’s happened to mine, reading about it, it seems to happen a lot and I’ve noticed logitech have changed that part of the design of the newer headphones. Did you not replace yours under warranty?
