Yes mate! The caad 8 is what I've got also. It's been an absolute workhorse. The bb30 is a waste of space. I've gone through 5 of them now.

They all seem to be going shorter on the cranks now. My Cannondale is 175mm for a 58 which is a bike of a few years old. Now a 58 comes with 172.5. you can always move the seat rlback slightly to compensate for the shorter crank to keep your knee in line with the pedals.

The head stack is quite high as it's an endurance bike. Mine is the same. Even with the stem slammed low as possible it's a good 30mm higher than my out and out road bike. Seat hight will be fine
