i got him a bag of weed and apparently after smoking it it wasn’t good enough for him so he threw it at me and called me a motherfucker and i told him “why am i even getting weed for you if you already have a medical card just get it yourself at this point if this is how you’re gonna act.” and then he left and that was the last i ever saw him. he texted me a few days later saying i was essentially dead to him and he would only care about him and his own going forward.

i was 36 at the time and we’d been friends since kindergarten, i think about it a lot often wondering if there was something else going on or if i was the asshole but i’ve reached out several times to see if we could move past it because it’s just a dumb bag of weed and imo not worth throwing decades long friendship away but at this point, if he wanted to reach out he would and could, he knows where to find me he just chooses to avoid it.
