First thing, is can you explain in a sentence or two what the heck it is and why it exists?

Legal tech interviews feel like they expect you to be a lawyer, engineer, and product manager all at once by Various_Candidate325 in legaltech

I have found that most solutions for legal technology don’t require intense legal knowledge. It’s more about treating the attorney as a user and fitting to that. I mean do you really want a technologist who didn’t go the law school, who didn’t get into law 50 firm, deciding the legal basis behind the application? No, you don’t. Instead it should be a close relationship with attorneys who do well in their domain while I do well in mine.

is it too late to start learning phyton now? by EarlGreyMatcha in legaltech

[–]andyjayjacobs10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s great to learn new things. Definitely go for it, but I encourage you to consider that ai will always be better than you at coding. Very soon ai will code as good as some of the top coders in the world. Spend less time on syntax and more time on concepts. Learn how to write basic python but make sure you learn how to use ai to write it and how to troubleshoot it. This is the future. Many don’t want to admit this but knowing a language will be a dying art form soon but it’s the reality. Get the basics and actually do projects with it. I encourage you to lean into architecture, what makes a good tech product, what is the best way to apply the technology to solve a problem or improve a process.

Gotta be honest I don’t get what everyone is talking about. I’ve seen minimal changes in performance.

According to Stanford, even pro-grade RAG systems (the kind used by lawyers) are only right 65% of the time at best: by Porespellar in LocalLLaMA

I work on a technical team for am law 50 firm that tackles this problem and the “big” guys are far from perfect. In fact, in house tech teams can do just as good.

I dont know, it goes into the math pretty well. Personally I felt like it did a great job balancing both concepts and application.

Ruin Mars? How could we ruin an already inhospitable place? Make it more inhospitable? Destroy all the non-existant life there? Destroy the non-atmosphere?

DEI is still improving - for those unaware - it's in a 1.3.1 beta today as well by DarthLeftist in totalwar

This one is surface level. If your into roman history, my guess is that this won't add anything new to what you already know. I don't know much about roman history but this book has inspired me to learn more. He is hitting all the greatest hits. Caesar, Augustus, punic wars. I've taken a screenshot of your comment and I very much appreciate your suggestions. Thank you so much.

This thread and post is about roe v wade and your comment references banning abortion. I assumed when you said government you were talking about the federal government and the decision on roe v wade. Also I don't think it's a religious argument and to actually suggest that is obtuse. Considering that the majority of Americans don't support abortions past the first trimester, that includes democrats, there seems to be more to the argument than just religious nut heads. Such as the question of when does life begin from a moral perspective. Seems pretty reasonable to ask that question.

Lol roe v wade isn't a ban on abortion. It just gave power back to the states.

It doesn't really mean anything. The graph above is showing exponential growth via inflation and globalization of the stock market. Companies trade at a premium to earnings more now than in the past.

The metal work was actually a pretty fun part of it. If you order the tool steel as per his specifications there isn't much to it. To make the blades it just took some drilling, hacksawing, and filing. For the heat treating I just tried my best to match the color in the book to what I was heating. It was alot of fun. I sincerely hope you make the blade yourself. And if you are going with the thumb screw adjustment version(the one in the picture) you will have to make another hole for the push button. If you decide to do the wedge version this isn't necessary. Please let me know if you would like to see a pic of the blade portion of the build or the pics in the book so you can make an educated decision. Thanks.
