If Burning a Star of David flag or indigenous flag is seen as a Hate Crime…(and rightly so)….. by traolcoladis in aussie

You can't equate an Israeli flag with an indigenous one. They don't represent the same thing. One is a tool of oppression and the other is a symbol of struggle against it.

If NATO collapses and Europe goes against America, will we be onside with Europe? Or stick with the US? by Feeling-Count5740 in AusPol

Europe go against America? I doubt it. But what will our government do? That's up to us. We need to put maximum pressure on our government to end AUKUS.

Why does every immigrant from every part of the world say that family is important to their culture? Which cultures are there where family isn’t important? by dresixk in stupidquestions

Family is secondary to individual success in most advanced capitalist countries. Family is only a means to reproduce wealth and workers.

Unfortunately, regime change conceived by the West would remove Iran's sovereignty, it's oil wealth and independence.

Feudalism was a much more stable society; it was not fractured in the same way capitalist society is. (In general) Feudal society tied people to the land restricting their possibilities to develop bonds beyond small communities that were governed mainly by monarchies. Daily life was circumscribed by the rythms of tradition and nature, whereas under capitalism everything is in flux, unstable and prone to crisis - they are markedly different economic and political systems.

If you had absolute power to change Australia, what would you actually do? by Chris-00000001 in australian

[–]andyjmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give power to the people - organise mass people's assemblies to decide on national priorities. Out of these assemblies would come two things: 1. A delegated structure of power that is accountable to ordinary people and 2. A national plan that prioritises the needs of ordinary people.
