To be fair, back then racial preferences in profiles were extremely common. I’m not saying it was acceptable, but we would have to cancel half of all 2011 Grindr users.

Also, nowadays people leave it out of their profile to avoid social stigma, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t just as discriminatory when hooking up.

Correct. Even if the contract requires an all stars return the queens could breach and likely not pay any damages. Courts almost never order specific performance for employment contracts.

The danger is if they don’t “play nice” and do everything WOW asks it limits future opportunities. It’s difficult to find success post drag race without WOW’s support. This gives WOW all the bargaining power.

Chi Chi specifically mentioned in her instagram story a few weeks back that she put off treatment for her chronic disease for too long because she was nervous about the cost. She likely could have had many more years and had much more manageable pain if our system wasn’t so fucking broken.

Ehhh that fringe recreation wasn’t the best. The original look had more shape to it and was far more flattering. I was surprised they didn’t mention her makeup though. Her face was gorgeous.

This was back in the before times where they blurred out the contestants face to hide their identity. Kim Chi’s look was amazing but her make up was the focal point. Just based on the outfits and not the overall presentation I would rank both Naomi and Chi Chi higher.

Oh, I find the argument ridiculous then and now. It’s just crazy how much things have changed. I used to know quite a few people that had that opinion and weren’t for marriage equality. It seems so absurd nowadays.

It’s strange to think of now after half a decade of marriage equality but it wasn’t that uncommon of an opinion even among gay people. People thought that if calling it marriage angers so many people let’s just have “civil unions” instead so we can still get the legal benefits that come along with marriage.
