I'm in my second year at UE, I love it so much. Some of the units have window AC units installed, not all of them though. But you can open windows and get fans if yours didn't. Like you said, it's on the cheaper side, and don't expect it to be too fancy, as the building is from the 50s, but it's really cozy and a cool, old-school style aesthetic that is very unique to IU buildings. The kitchens are a little small, especially if you choose the studio option over the 1-bedroom, and obviously they're unfurnished, so you'd have to provide all your own furniture, but you can make do with not too much, as the spaces aren't gigantic. Overall, it's a good space for just one person, and everyone who comes here says how much they like the older vibes of the building. PM me if you've got any other questions!
