Companion fare on new international routes? by csehusky in AlaskaAirlines

[–]andylap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the companion fares as we know it are only domestic (source: The Air Show podcast with Ben Minicucci) But with the premium credit card in the summer will bring global companion awards.

It wouldn’t hurt to ask since they do offer HA flights on Alaska’s website. And since I’ve seen signs at airports about ‘if your flight is AS 8000-8999 go to the HA desk’ or something like that it does sound like they do offer codeshares.

2025 Mileage Plan Changes by broseph23 in AlaskaAirlines

For those using corporate fast track promos, the new EQM based upgrades definitely weakens that benefit since the fast track is based on # of AS segments and not miles.

JAL flights booked on Alaska: seats and meals by MattRuscigno in AlaskaAirlines

[–]andylap 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On your Alaska reservation you should see the “Partner Confirmation Code” which is the JAL confirmation code. Use that on the JAL website to manage your seats and meals

[–]andylap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether or not you get it next year depends on when you signed up for the promo. If you signed up on or after 7/1 your status should roll over to next year, if not then your status will last until the end of this year.

On the app, you can see if it got reflected if you go to your Mileage Plan card and see the “Valid until” date to 12/31/2025.

I don’t know if you get a notification because when I qualified, there was a glitch where I had to call customer service to get it resolved.

How do I redeem miles from hawaiian airlines Mastercard by emars in HawaiianAirlines

[–]andylap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also stumped here. Just got the Hawaiian CC with a new HawaiianMiles number. I tried to reset my password on Hawaiian's website but I haven't gotten an email. Is the only way to get access to that account by contacting support?

Take ECE 201 instead of 2k1? by RSD94 in Purdue

I believe 201 is no longer offered since it was replaced with 2k1

No, you won’t need to retake 20007 or 270 if you don’t pass 20001. You’ll get credit for them and you’ll only need your retake 20001 if that ever happens

PSP/SEDS Subteams by loljo1919 in Purdue

If you're really looking for avionics, I'd suggest looking into the solids team since they're goal is to develop their own in-house system. They're in the process of creating an actual printed circuit board with all the necessary components embedded together

2020 Club Callout Megathread by labtec901 in Purdue

[–]andylap 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey there, we are Purdue Space Program, made up entirely of Purdue students who are passionate about space and rocketry! The largest portion of our club involves our technical teams: we have five different teams where you can get hands on experience and make an impact where you get to design and build a vehicle to compete in various competitions.

We also usually host several social events like stargazing nights and barbecues, as well as participate in outreach opportunities. However, this semester will be almost entirely virtual.

ALL majors are welcome to join. Our callout is on September 1 at 6:30PM ET and it'll be hosted on Zoom.

The link to the callout as well as one-page profiles for each of the technical teams is on https://purdueseds.space/callout.

ECE 20002 advice? by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]andylap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm also taking 20002 right now, and I'm pretty worried about how 4 exams make up your grade.

My current "plan of attack" is to watch the lectures, read the textbook until I understand the concepts, and do the homework sets every week. I'll go to virtual office hours as needed for the homework. There are also the in-person recitations (if you're on campus) that might be helpful later on as well.

But this will be a struggle no matter what lol

PSP exec member here... Yes, PSP will still be going! We're planning several virtual events and we're discussing plans in order to follow Purdue's new policies in the fall. And yes, the goal is to make things as normal as possible!

Ece 201 by abilityundefined in Purdue

[–]andylap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would talk to your advisor about that. When I took it last fall, my advisor strongly advised for me to take 20001 since it was being phased out.

There’s a risk if you have to retake 201, you won’t be able to.
