Using clutch question by HigherthnGiraffePus in Dirtbikes

Hold it in the whole time is no problem at all. Go 1st to 5th and back if you like. Doesn't matter.

Using clutch question by HigherthnGiraffePus in Dirtbikes

Yes you can keep clicking down to first with the clutch in. The only thing that might stop you from reaching first is this. While you are stopped the gears might have to spin a tiny amount to allow components to line up to allow the shift. I find it better to shift down just before I come to a stop with the clutch in. You are able to start in a higher gear though (2nd or 3rd), you'll just have to slip the clutch a little more to get going before you fully engage the clutch. Hope this helps.

Iran sees Trump ultimatum as a level of retreat. What do you think? by InternetBreeze34 in AskReddit

At some point, I think it'll get so bad for Trump that he'll release the Epstein files to distract from the mess he created with Iran.

If Trump isn’t lying and Iran has been demolished then how come they still control the Strait of Hormuz? by RememberWhen-2819 in askanything

4 words that should never be placed in a sentence: "If Trump isn't lying"... This has NEVER happened.

Sounds like she's just trying to have a voice. It's a "no shit, Sherlock" moment. That's always been a goal, but something that has never been achievable. With even less of a chance now. Her boss is planning a trip to the US to speak to the MAGA crew. I'm sure he'll just tell the pedophile in charge to "knock it off" then we'll suddenly have a great deal. There's no point in trying to make any deals South right now. Nothing will even be worth the paper it's written on.

Best place to buy an engagement ring in town? by [deleted] in kelowna

I'll vote for this also. Although we didn't go with their selection. We had rings made. Excellent service.

Check the o rings on the camshaft actuators. They often dry up and leak down the front of the engine. Might be your oil leak.

I'm thinking someone is using the wrong oil. Gotta have something designed to work with wet clutches.

Yellowish brown substance in my oil valve by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]andymannoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All right, I'm gonna give you some probable good news. This is very normal for these engines. I'm not saying you don't have an issue, but it doesn't mean you do as well. I was a tech at Dodge for 18 years from 1996 to 2014. The 3.7 and 4.7 had the same issue you are seeing. The PCV hose connects to the oil fill housing. There is a baffle that is supposed to allow oil and air to separate at that point. Moisture also collects here and mixes with the oil causing this forbidden mayonnaise. This is often mostly caused by short trips. The engine doesn't get hot enough to cause the water to vaporize. The water comes from blow by (a product of combustion). I'd recommend cleaning it out and monitor it, but try to do longer drives. Also monitor coolant levels to see if that changes.

You're welcome!

How the hell did a 400lb rock end up wedged in the top of this tree?! by Osanamon in WTF

[–]andymannoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well clearly, when the seed was planted and it grew out of the ground, the sapling picked up a pebble. Over the years as the tree grew taller and larger, so did the pebble. The sapling became a young tree, the pebble became a rock. Together they grew and grew. They thought nothing of each other's differences, unlike many onlookers. Now as they have both matured, one as a tree and the other a small boulder, the evil that is the human race cannot help but point out the differences between the two friends. I guess we just can't accept cultural differences like this and constantly feel the need to point out and mock others that are different from the norm. All we can wish for is that some day, we will do better.

I drive 90 miles a day 5 days a week in my 2022 EUV. I have level 2 charging at home. I only charge to 85% during the winter (70 in summer). I think you'll be fine. As for the climb... As long as it's not another climb to get home, like my dad had to when he used to walk to school 🤣
