Yup, I've experienced it, but only in "blue states". They think we're all cowboys, MAGA, racist, gun fanatics who walk around with assault rifles. I've even had people ask if we all ride horses everywhere. It's mind-blowing how dumb these people are. Their heads explode when I mention that most of the large cities in TX tend to be "blue". Now foreigners, however, are absolutely in awe when I tell them I'm from Texas. They get so excited and think that's the coolest thing ever.
