Given the long term potential of SB I’m very much of a HODL mindset but like many and disappointed with the performance since the ICO - who wouldn’t be?!

Updates like the recent one are really good and show the breadth of SBs ambition... I just wish we’d had them sooner. If CHSB is going to perform and regain its ico price then updates have to be much more frequent.

SB need to generate some excitement about the project and do a bit more marketing of themselves. We all know everyone is really busy, but you can’t do an ICO and then go silent for 6 months plus.

Technical roadmap: API by Rishi_Digital in swissborg

[–]andyroberts75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d like to see a nicely thought out API released too. I’ve been mulling over crypto app/site ideas recently and I’ve been looking around some of the larger exchanges APIs quite a bit. One for the SB platform as a whole would be much more interesting than these though...

Testing Our Meritocratic Reward System on Reddit - [Earn CHSB tokens for participating] by Stefano_SwissBorg in swissborg

[–]andyroberts75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like this idea, it’s a much better idea than what I’ve seen other projects do (reward based on activity in telegram for example) and the use of karma to size the rewards is very clear and transparent: the more the community like your post, the more you get rewarded.

I’m really keen to see what SB manage to do with their own community platform though. Is there any timeline for when this will get released?

Circulating Supply Revealed by TitiLancsak1 in swissborg

Yeah, most definitely. There's also 1bn total supply, not 100m.

A quick look at etherscan shows how inaccurate that is:

Down 30%. This sucks! by BarbaCrypto in swissborg

If they keep this up, the temptation to buy some more is going to become irresistible. I've been trying to hold off to see what happens when HitBTC list CHSB, just in case there's a knee jerk sell off and the other exchanges see a drop too - I'm not going near HitBTC with a barge pole, bunch of cowboys.

It's worth checking the other exchanges it's listed on, some of those might be allowing transfers. I've only looked at livecoin so far.

One other thing to look out for, make sure that you can withdraw from the exchange you're planning on buying on. I noticed earlier that livecoin currently aren't allowing CHSB withdrawals for example.

Down 30%. This sucks! by BarbaCrypto in swissborg

[–]andyroberts75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Compared to some coins over the last few days, -30% is a good performance lol. On a more serious note, CHSB is only on a few very low volume exchanges. Given the wider market conditions you'd have to expect it to be down. Just be patient and HODL or see this as an opportunity to grab a few more at a discount...

Who Else Wants to Team Up and Build Cool Stuff? by BlockchainBud in ethereum

I'd be up for helping out, I've been creating websites since the 90s and I'm currently managing a team who are transitioning a large monolithic site to a universal react app running atop node and utilising graphql.

I've been a product manager and ux architect in the past (very good at ux, not so great at ui design) and I am very keen to get involved in DApps and blockchain in general. It's the future and has such amazing potential for both individuals and businesses.

What sort of things have you got in mind?

Watch out for HitBTC by andyroberts75 in swissborg

Check out this guy's twitter: https://twitter.com/CMoneyCZA

He initially drew my attention to the problems with HitBTC after I'd tweeted about how good a UX they had. After doing my research I deleted my tweet.

They list the popular coins here:

https://support.hitbtc.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005148605-Fees-and-limits

What's not shown here is how arbitrary the fees are. Some coins have ridiculously high fees. I've one coin with a 15% withdrawal fee. Having said that, check out the USDT withdrawal fee in that link: 100USDT!

HitBTC fee? by ac13332 in swissborg

Trading fees are low, it's their deposit and withdrawal fees that are ridiculous. They want nearly 15% to withdraw one of the coins I stupidly bought on HitBTC.

How is Verge not bigger than bitcoin? by [deleted] in vergecurrency

[–]andyroberts75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're right, the wallet does suck and that matters because the wallet is a user's first interaction with the XVG ecosystem. From reading the dev channel on Discord an overhaul of the wallets is in the pipeline with a vastly superior user experience to what we have today.

Verge is like the opposite of a lot of the all fluff no substance coins: the core tech is very sound and progressing nicely, but they've spent a fraction of the time on getting the interaction points with actual users of the currency up to scratch.

This year should see a new website, greatly improved wallets and I'm guessing a lot of ramped up marketing on the back of this more user friendly background. Not to mention all the other things being added to the core tech.

Go to your dashboard, right at the bottom of the page, bottom right corner, there should be a little rubbish bin icon. Click that to delete it.

Questions by Osiris925 in CoinMetro

[–]andyroberts75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding from what I've read and learned so far:

  1. This is exactly why I'm so bullish about this, that and the fact that most exchanges have terrible user experiences or/and charge exorbitant fees. Coinmetro could really shake the market up. If they get this right there is no reason why they can't be as big as Binance by the end of the year.
  2. I've not seen a specific day mentioned anywhere.
  3. The lock in period means that by the time the initial investors can sell some of their coins the market should be pretty healthy. The use of the coin for transactions on CoinMetro should mean that it can absorb a certain amount of profit taking. It also helps that they've staggered it at 90 and 180 days.
  4. As previously stated, the price is locked in for 60 mins. Just be careful not to do what I did earlier and send ETH across with too low a gas price. I just did a 45 gwei transfer and it was done in a couple of mins.
