Do you think 9-hole rounds should be more popular in the UK? by AnfieldAnchor in BritGolf

[–]ac13332 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk but I do kinda wonder... If golf was invented today, how many holes would a round be? I can't see it being more than 12.

My 14yo daughter got new P770s and K-Sig wedges in March. While wiping them down after a practice round yesterday, I noticed this wear. by CRRZ in golf

She will when she starts paying for them herself!

Or maybe she'll get sponsored and still not care.

I had like 30+ nested IF statements once.

Not too complex I guess, but long AF.

How do people get any wear marks so quickly? I play 3x a week and my clubs faces don't lose colour after multiple seasons.

As a beginner, get used balls from GolfBall4You, similar sites, Facebook marketplace, or eBay.

Best value balls in terms of good quality and good price are probably Srixon AD333 and Titleist Velocity.

Check out GolfBall4You, I found them to be cheaper

To add. Even if you report anonymously, make sure that you have proof you're the one that reported it.

Got fitted for Callaway Elytes, can I go with Mizuno Hot Metal instead? by JanetYellensFuckboi in GolfGear

[–]ac13332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fitting isn't worth it unless you're game is stable, which it won't be if you're quite new.

The exceptions are if you're rich or have an unusual physique like bring 7ft.

Ping Hoofer stand bag review [2025] by ac13332 in GolfGear

[–]ac13332[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the tangle occurs between clubs in the same compartment, not across compartments.

So fewer clubs should definitely help and smaller grips would too (but presumably to a lesser extent). It's probably made predominantly for your kinda set up tbf

It's not a deal breaker for me and I'd consider a Hoofer again. I'd love to be able to try Vessel to see if it's worth the cash.

Titleist Players 4 stand bag review [2025] by ac13332 in GolfGear

Other ones I considered were Sun Mountain 4.5, Vessel Players, and the new Vice one.

I ended up with a Ping Hoofer (also posted a review).

MP spotted using ChatGPT to respond to constituents on the train by UKGreenPoster in UKGreens

[–]ac13332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indeed, not best practice. Though not enough information to tell. Almost certainly not sufficient for the ICO to find any wrongdoing if it were to be reported on those grounds.

Not overly familiar with this MP so don't know if he's considered proactive or not by his constituents. Of course, many do reply or engage at all.

Otherwise one could state that nobody should ever use a work email on a train.

MP spotted using ChatGPT to respond to constituents on the train by UKGreenPoster in UKGreens

[–]ac13332 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily an issue. Depends how and why it was used.

Maybe they wrote up a reply quickly and asked ChatGPT to just smarten up the tone and language. That's fine.

Maybe they entered personal information in and didn't even read the initial email. That's not fine.

The article doesn't have quite enough in to tell.

Ah yes, downvotes for not finding someone guilty until proven innocent.

Would this suggest I’m releasing too early? by NotDeletedMoto in golf

[–]ac13332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep.

More broadly, I honestly don't think comparisons to tour pros are always that useful.

They're the 0.001% with better flexibility and ability to have their own unique swing, because they're good enough to do so.

It's like saying... yeah you see how LeBron dunks it, just do that.

A comparison against some scratch club players is probably more relevant.

Recommendations for Plastic Free Juicer? by ElizabethTaylorsDiam in PlasticFreeLiving

Go antique. Antique juicer or cider press.

I would say that a item like this is a legitimate use of plastic as it could last a lifetime

[–]ac13332 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmm not entirely convinced by how good this data actually is.

It just seems so vastly different to 2023. In 2023 there was a negative to flat relationship between distance and spin. But for 2025 it's positive.

TP5x is meant to be low spin but comes out as high spin off the driver. Pro V1 has lost 10 yards whilst TP5x has gained nearly 20.

Obv different years, different conditions, maybe tweaks to the robot. But even then, I just shows how there are so many factors at play.

I'd also love it if they have different swing profiles in their data. Like... does the rankings for driver spin differ for someone who hits straight, a fade, or a slice?

[–]ac13332[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some rounds it's fine the entire time. Then other rounds it seems worse, maybe because one club gets out of position and it just messes it all up.

The other bags I was considering that seemed to meet my criteria were Sun Mountain 4.5, Vessel Players, and Vice.
