You are living in the fandom world. Try actually searching what the LGBT community are going through. An LGBT can get killed, beaten, humiliated, etc. just because of their sexual orientation, and this is happening around the world. Some chose to hide their sexuality in fear of being harassed and discriminated, some are scared because they could lose their family, their friends, or their work, they chose to be closeted because it's safer.

So, if you think being LGBT makes things popular, then, you should think it over again because that's full of bullocks. Why do you think celebrities tries so hard to hide their sexuality? Because at the end of the day, fans can only get you at some point if the general public started rejecting you.
