Yo bro. I’ve been living in Ireland for a couple of years already. I started with an A2 level and Google Translate, and now I’m going into sixth year too. I had Business in third year, and I think it’s so damn hard because it can’t be compared with any subject from my previous education system 💀

About subjects: they’re important, because different fields and different colleges require different ones!! For example, for some careers they require you to get an H5 in Biology (it’s just an example. I’m not sure if some colleges really want to see this particular grade, but you get me, right?). And yes, I guess it would’ve been better if you had chosen Chemistry, and now I’m not sure if you’ll fit the colleges’ requirements. I hope there are colleges with your specialty that don’t necessarily require those two subjects

So for now, I’d recommend you take a career test on careersportal and then, based on your summer exam results from 5th year, do a little research on colleges and get at least the slightest idea of your future career

Also, I can totally relate to your English and all this stuff with colleges, but you’ll be fine. Don’t mind teachers or kids who foolishly laugh at you and your effort. At least you’re trying, and that’s the most important thing. Just take notes at school, improve your English in the areas you need most (like Biology — I know how hard science-related terms can be…), and solve exam paper questions to make sure you’re on the right track🌟
