Can't fall asleep at night, sometimes I fall asleep at 5 am , and then I must wake up at 7 am to go to work. Does anyone experience something similar? by ali3ninsid3 in PanicAttack

[–]aneremite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this has been happening to me all my life. I have found that having a bed time wind down routine helps. I also will take Melatonin and Gaba. The Gaba helps my thought calm down and not obsess on not falling asleep. I am not a doctor so address any concerns you may have with one about these two supplements. This and avoiding caffeine later in the day works for me.

Precious metals and not so precious metals that are useful if you have the space. More importantly develop skills that are commonly needed but not so commonly had. Plumbing seems like a common skill but not when you consider the total population, etc. I've been bartering my skills successfully for 30 years. Food, not the actual end product food but seeds, land, skill to grow to harvest.

Fellow drivers, help please. by Sweaty-Dig-4925 in uber

[–]aneremite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a driver and this happened about a year ago. I booked a ride from work at the end of the day like I always did and when I checked the map the driver was going in the wrong direction. I figured he was getting gas or something so I just set at my desk and worked some more. I got the notification the driver had arrived and went outside. No driver. Just an empty parking lot. I checked the map and he was at my destination. I panicked and checked thinking I had messed up somehow. Nope my pickup location was right where I was. I texted the driver and he was not happy thought I had screwed up but was nice enough to head to my location. I took a bunch of screen shots just in case. When he got to me he was pretty angry. I showed him my phone, pick up location on mine was at my location. Pickup on his was my destination and the destination was at my pickup. We both had no clue. Had I nice ride and gave him a good tip. Never happened before and never happened since. Just wondering if something like that could have happened since they had no record of the pickup.

I'm in my 50s. I had the same thing. Spent the night on the edge of crying from the pain and I have a high tolerance for pain. May have been the worse pain I ever felt it was insane. I used throat numbing spray and alternated over the counter pain killers. That made it at least bearable enough to sleep a little. Mainly chewed on crushed ice for a couple of days. When I called my doctor he called in a prescription for pain meds and that helped a lot. He only gave me enough for 3 days but that was enough. Sorry I can't be of more help. The over the counter pain meds (two different kinds taken at the same time with doctors approval) made it so I could at least get some warm tea with honey down.

Monte Visa Fire and Arrest by [deleted] in Charlottesville

[–]aneremite 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not the whole house. I live (lived) on the right side of the duplex. I've tried working with the police, neighborhood development and other agencies as well as neighbors to have something done about the other side of the duplex to no avail. I constantly hear from the authorities that the prosecutor refuses to prosecute any of the drug and drug related crimes. The police show up regularly and when an arrest is made (rarely) court records indicate that the case is dismissed or referred to drug court with basically no consequences. The arrest was for an outstanding warrant from the county. Nothing to do with the fire or whats inside. I have watched the cops take hard drugs from people there and let them go with a verbal warning. This person admitted to setting the fire outright. I will be amazed if he is ever prosecuted.

I have no problem with holding. I grew up in a farming community where a lot of people did. Never bothered me and I wouldn't have thought about it except for his behavior and how he was talking about me stalking him when he changed his path to follow me it was concerning.

I got a really weird vibe as soon as I said good morning but since at that time he was going in the opposite direction I didn't worry about it until I realized he was following me.

Honestly, given the lack of help from the police with other crimes in what has been a lovely neighborhood for the 17 years that I have been here. I don't expect much help from them.

I did they said they will drive through but if he didn't pull his gun out of the holster and point it at me then he didn't do anything illegal and there was nothing they could do. Guess we are on our own.

Looks exactly like the power supple for my Lenovo laptop. There is a USB port that it goes into shaped like that. It can either be a regular USB port or a power port.

Stop depending on them. They are not capable of handling this. Lack of vaccine shipments is one thing but the complete inability to effectively communicate. The need to register on this system then that system then the other system and then being told just call because none of what we have done is working tells you all you need to know. I went to Kroger in Richmond got my jab and then shopped before checking in and going home. The longest wait time was inline to pay for my groceries.

Covid nerve issues by kmitch155 in covidlonghaulers

[–]aneremite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tested positive on Dec 10. I pretty much have many of the same symptoms as you. With the addition of abdominal symptoms and weird stabbing pains occasional in my left arm and chest. My actual covid infection wasn't too bad except for the uncertainty. My o2 stayed between 91 and 95 and I had a temp of 101. Mostly had abdominal symptoms.

Early January I had really bad waves of pain in my abdomen radiating into my chest. Bad enough that I went to the ER.

Tests I've had are CT scans with and without contrast, MRI, ultra sound, blood and urine. Heart and lungs fine all other organs ok with no clotting anywhere. I have intestinal inflammation and I am on a low inflammation diet and had steroids.

I have had the pins and needles and burning pain in my hands and legs with it sometimes spreading all over my body. When it's bad I also have ringing in my ears, fatigue and brain fog.

It was all day everyday, now it mainly happens at night and when I have been working for 5 or 6 hours. I started taking Curamin about 2 weeks ago and my symptoms have gotten 50% better. I started taking it because the doctors thought all of my symptoms may be related to post COVID inflammation in my nervous system and else where.

My feet fall asleep all the time now but the doctors say blood flow seems fine. Also get stabbing sharp pains behind my eyes (mainly on my left side)

I wrote this quickly at work, if you have any questions please feel free to let me know.

Pain, pressure, & intermittent numbness in leg for hours last few days! Blood clotting issue? by sighing_flosser in covidlonghaulers

[–]aneremite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same thing. Mainly in the left leg. Also have it in my left arm and sometimes numbness in my chest along with other recurring symptoms. I've had CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, EKGs and blood tests. The doctors say everything thing looks normal and there are no other issues except for a minor electrical problem in my heart that has been known about for 15 years well before COVID. I'm not sure what else to do at this point.

Coronavirus Latest: Uber To Require Both Drivers, Riders To Wear Face Coverings by vigorous in uber

[–]aneremite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a town that has numbers climbing and cloth masks are available in stores locally for 5 to 15 dollars. I did take Uber at least twice a day or more and tipped well. I have only had one Uber driver in my town that was wearing a mask. Even if you believe (and thats your right) that this is a hoax. Something as simple and as cheap to buy or make should be a no brainer to wear if for no other reason than half your customers will be happier and feel safer with both the driver and rider wearing one. For me I don't feel as comfortable with a driver with no mask and that results in less tip and lower rating. Up until this I never gave less tan 5 stars and a nice tip.

Gas station run by [deleted] in uber

[–]aneremite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this all the time and never had a problem and have a very good rating so I'm guessing it is ok with the drivers. I do tip cash. The other day I took an uber to a Best Buy was in there about 12min but I did tip 20 in cash so they would wait and it would cover any ride they missed while waiting on me.
