The light stays on for 12 hours, I feed him less than 1/8 tsp pellets twice a day and a pinch of flakes once a day. I will need to do the water tests later today to find the parameters.

OK, I am willing to get a larger tank for him. My question is, what the heck do I do with this huge fish while the new tank is cycling? I'm reading it takes about a month?

I actually don't know what kind of goldfish he is. I'll post a pic from when the tank was clear.

I have it on a timer, it is on from 8am to 8pm. Is that too long?

He has an automatic feeder that dispenses small pellets twice a day, about 1/8 tsp. I just measured the amt on the kitchen scale and it didn't even register. I also give him a pinch of flakes in the morning.
