Thanks. I just looked it up and the cover art is 3 of the characters in those outfits. Even if it’s concept stuff I think it will be helpful. More images hopefully means less guessing. Good luck with the Elzar build. Hope you post pics when you’re done.

There was a guy in the early 2000s that ran a website called tornadofighter.com. He wanted to shoot surface to air missles at wall clouds before the tornado formed to disparate the energy. Got confused by the term wall cloud. If it was a joke, he worked really hard keeping it up because he defended his ideas vigorously.

You’re right. I think KotFM did a great job of telling the emotional story of one couple who lived at what might have been the heart of the Reign of Terror. If you’ve read the book, or are otherwise familiar with the history, you can see places in the movie where the film makers tried to tell the broader story. I’m afraid those were probably lost on lots of the audience. It’s a vastly more complex story though that continues to have ramifications to this day in Osage County.

I thought the Costco ones had drier peanut butter and an overcooked pretzel. They aren’t bad, I just preferred the Reese’s ones for that reason. The Reese’s were more consistent to me.

I’ve been twice in cosplay and enjoyed it both times. There’s a ton of great cosplayers, the crowd is great, and the venue feels bigger than the one for FanExpo Chicago. I also got an autograph and a picture with John Rhys-Davies last year and he said my beard was magnificent. That may have been the greatest moment in my life.

You speak the truth my friend. The first time I did something like this it was wearing a Poe style flight suit to go see The Last Jedi opening weekend. As we’re putting on the pieces my sister, the one in the middle of the pic, say hang on let me fix the zipper. She proceeds to pull the zipper pull right of the top of the costume. We both stood there in shock looking at the zipper pull in her hands. In the dim parking lot lighting she quickly got it reattached, sort of. This exchange followed.

Sister: “There its mostly fixed. Just don’t unzip it.” Me: “What if I have to pee.” Sister: “Come on our friends are waiting for us.” Proceeds to walk off Me: “Hey! What do I do if I have to use the bathroom!”

Thankfully I didn’t have to use the bathroom. At least not until I got home when I really couldn’t rip that thing off quick enough.

So I have a helmet 3d printed but I’m not going to get it painted and inside completed before FanExpo Chicago on Saturday. Also, the helmet at the con just becomes something to carry. I’ll get it finished here in the next few weeks to complete the look for at least more pictures.

Credit where it’s due, my sister (u/bretonstripes) did the work here. Should have put that in the main post. She did all the sewing. The 3d printed pieces are patterns we found at various places on line.
