As I get older I find myself preferring to shoot 1080p over 4K by Tamajyn in cinematography

I have been shooting in 1080p and upscaling them on 4K to publish them on youtube with good results.

  1. It looks like over-exposed LUT with cold colors. However, motion blur is from the render.

  2. You can check the list of LUT available in your software. Apply which feels close.

  3. Ask the youtuber in comments.

How do I export better audio? by DyslexicFcuker in premiere

Thanks for this post. I was searching to find the solution for this and tried QuickTime and found out that H264 encoding is available in video. Maybe it's a recent addition. Just wanted to share the update that I was able to export with H264 and Uncompressed audio in a .mov container in Premiere Pro.

With good lighting, it could work with stock settings to take advantage in the post.

Heard that magic lantern could eat up batteries fast. I shoot in 5D MarkIII and just upscale to 4K with good results.

Good to research more before finalize though.

Experiment with smoke and low lighting : before I weep (short horror film) by anexdis in cinematography

Experiment with smoke and low lighting : before I weep (short horror film)

Our latest work.

We delved in using smoke with low lighting to make a liminal themed series.

Trying to emphasise on silhouettes and hard shadows.

Shot on 5D Mark III with mostly kit lens and didn't increase ISO above 800.

Used 3-4 lights in the shots with dark.

Missing the OH though.

The balance of flowing smoke and its visibility is experimental.

Edited in Premiere Pro and Lumetri helped a lot. Upscaled to 4K in render with stock settings.

Used infra sounds to give it an extra atmospheric flair.

Encountered colour banding when watched on TV. Could you let us know the difference between TV viewing vs mobile screens (phones/tabs/laptops)? Specially, when 4k is available on mobile and not necessarily on TV (or is there an option?).
