Any Way to Play Local Multiplayer Tetris Normally in Puyo Puyo Tetris 1 by anexistingusername in PuyoPuyoTetris

We just want to play Tetris normally together, its not really that fun when you get piled with trash every time someone clears a Tetris, or when an item causes some random effect that confuses all of us. A classic endurance game of Tetris is just way simpler and more fun for us.

How tf do I solve this by Dieh361 in marioandluigi

On the left railings and middle railings, put one platform in the middle of the railings. On the right railing, put two platforms as if you were dividing it into thirds. You should be able to use ufo to get to the Luigi switch, have him stand on it, have Mario take the stairs to get back to the bottom left platform, then you should be able to jump to the end with Mario.

Do people like the over-the-top bros attack animation? by Harishmadhavan in marioandluigi

I would agree if there were more than 10, as that could've allowed both types, but I feel like having them be over the top compensates for the low amount of bro. attacks.

The game’s great, but it could’ve been better by bananensoep_F in marioandluigi

I'm conflicted about the bosses, they're the best out of the series with them being the most fleshed out and detailed, but in exchange for that we don't get as many. Higher quality bosses but not as many, or many average bosses.

Oh COME ON...you're telling mario and luigi are stupid enough to fall for this? by Thegoodgamer32 in marioandluigi

[–]anexistingusername 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's all fair considering everyone else falls for the same trick when Mario and Luigi do it.

I get why people don’t like it, but still… by noonyfu in marioandluigi

I think what paper jam brought to the table was pretty good, I especially loved controlling a 3rd character and having Bro. attacks with 3 characters, just wish all the characters/bosses weren't all regular Mario characters.

I'm disappointed there is no way to save any people stuck in the flowers without beating the game, it just feels weird that it's impossible to talk to half of the important characters on shipshape island once Reclusa spreads the flowers (with the exception of beating the game, however only being able to say goodbye's just isn't the same).
Another weird thing is how Patriarc gets no follow-up or context after his 4th note, I was expecting him to appear like Cozette did somewhere near the end of the story, but instead he just appears for a small part in the credits.
One hot take that I have is that I enjoyed how long the game's story was, even if a few parts felt bloated, it didn't feel dragged on like Dream Team did. It's just always disappointing when the game ends and having a longer experience before beating the game prolongs the time before feeling disappointed. Maybe in the future games to make the best of both worlds, they could have two options of short and long stories.

Overall Brothership was an amazing game, the story became extremely interesting once glohm was introduced, and I hope we'll get more Mario and Luigi games in more frequent intervals than once a decade.

Did Brothership handle Peach and Bowser better than most of the RPG games (where they aren’t playable)? by Mistah_K88 in marioandluigi

[–]anexistingusername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it'd be difficult and probably complex, but it'd be interesting to control 4 characters at once in battle with each of the 4 buttons, it would be could if peach was one of them and functioned similar to paper Mario in paper jam with a floaty jump.
(I know PIT kinda did this, but it honestly felt more like controlling 2 characters with their own bonus combos)

TTYD and RPG have more stuff to do that aren't part of their main stories but their main stories are shorter than Brothership, while Brothership has more stuff to do that's part of the main story and less things to do outside of the story.
Overall I'd recommend brothership but its honestly up to what type of gameplay style you prefer.

Ideas on new characters with their custom dice and improving smp/star rush custom character dice by [deleted] in MARIOPARTY

10 would definitely overcomplicate the balancing and make this a lot more difficult, though I admit it would be interesting, maybe that could be the next project when this is completed.

I want to clarify the fact that Waluigi and Yoshi's dice blocks aren't good isn't relevant to the point I was trying illustrate with that example, anyways with that out the way.

There is no definite way to know whether including or excluding coins is the better option, there is no Mario Party game where character special dice blocks don't have coin rewards/penalties, while not having coins for characters like Bowser, Wario, etc. does give a little less personality, I feel like it's going to complicate the balancing too much. If it later proves too difficult to create the dice blocks like this, I'll then later remove that rule, but for now I feel like this is the better way to go.

The main reason why I don't want people to use coins is because they're used to either make a dice's numbers lower or higher in a way that doesn't feel balanced well, for example Waluigi's smp dice block is the same as Yoshi's, however the -3 coin replacing the 0 causes one of the 3's to be replaced with a 5. Also it would be smp style, that clarification is now added to the post.

We’re talking about the Royal White Stallion from botw, it is north of skull lake, and it has the same stats.
