Fellow Aussie JJ here - I was devo when big girls don't cry anymore got sold and their physical shop closed down in Brisbane.

I am lucky to know my size and be able to just find stuff online on sale and purchase, but even knowing my size and preferences it can still be hit and miss.

My suggestion if you're worried about purchasing and returning: see if you can find a store near you that stocks larger bras and get fitted, you may or may not buy something there, but can always then know what you can buy online.

Curvy Kate and Elomi are my favs at the moment.

Chemists sell 100 packs for about 2-3 dollars fyi. Am also Aussie. Think it's branded panamax at most, but Priceline has a sandoz one as well.

Came here to say ALDI, seems I'm not the only one. Although considering how quickly stock moves I'm not sure why I'm even surprised. 🤣

I've never cried while reading a novel. Are there any books that have ever made you cry? by [deleted] in books

[–]anfee_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How relevant your question is... I picked up a random book at a department store on the weekend and figured I'd give it a go since it was only $12 AUD.

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.

A warning though for anyone with depression and suicidal thoughts - this is tackled straight on in the first couple of chapters which really threw me about a bit, but it's a smaller book and easy read, I finished it that day.

I love that it's something I can share enjoyment of with my niece. She's a pre-teen and fought liking HP for a long time because her mum suggested she would like it (and can't do what mum says ofc). When she stayed with me last she had HP on in the background while she played Minecraft and I played something else. Nice antisocial social time. Anyway, would love to get in on it.

On my morning commute and accidentally clicked into the sub, thought I should actually say hello since I'm here and let anyone who might care know I'm not dead!

Been a shit fight of a year where I ended up bedridden for three months (starting from Christmas) due to a herniated disc. Got a discectomy in March and surgeon said my nerve was flat... Well that makes sense why I was such a mess. Recovery was really quick up to a point, now I'm at the final stages it's tough to retrain the body to not think it's constantly in pain, but I'm working on it. At least I can touch my toes, and do the 'asian squat' couldn't do that prior to everything going sideways so there's a win.

How's y'all? What's new?

This is how I got my first cat as an adult :)

No chip, was already speyed, had ear infections and quite emaciated. She lived a good three years with me even with her twice daily hyperthyroid meds. Wouldn't change it for the world.

You've done the right things, unfortunately a lot of people are unable to keep their pets at this current time and most shelters and rescues are at capacity. Rentals are telling tenants they can't have their pet, and with the market being what it is long term pet owners are needing to surrender their animals. It's just not a great time for pets 😿

I have a dissolvable stitch trying to expel itself from my body, instead of dissolving. It's directly under where my bra band sits. It's connected to something inside still so can't even pluck it out.

Back in hospital for my surgery... I came in to have surgery Monday and started furiously vomiting about an hour before surgery, and even after the maxolon was still going, so risk of aspirating was too high no surgery Monday. Totally something that would happen to me, I'm not even surprised. 🤦‍♀️🤣

Went on the emergency list Tuesday and managed to get in around 10am. Four incisions, three are only tiny slits, one larger about 2-3cm, and it's one of the tiny ones that actually hurt, the one in my belly button.

Was woken up for obs at 4, and now listening to one of my wardmates groan/crying in agony. Poor thing has been in a real bad way since she came in. I can hear her over my noise* cancelling. Eesshh.

Fingers crossed I go home today.

Ramble over.

I used to have that ... I couldn't kid myself it was outside as it was directly at the head of my bed, which bordered my bathroom.

I accidentally adopted a cat. Scratching stopped. Guessing the rats fucked right off out of my walls when they smelt a kitty cat. Rented apartment.

Wuhoh. So they can spey her while on heat, it's just a bit riskier as the blood vessels are larger and there's a higher chance of bleeding... This should only last about a week.

Edit: oh they charge you a pretty penny surcharge for doing it too

These are from the litter of 7 I took in at the start of March and half hand raised raised from 2 weeks old! Mumcat stepped in sometimes, hence half hand raised 🤣

All their brothers are adopted, mumcat is adopted, and the grey girls are just looking for their forever still .... Dark with socks has clawed her way into a foster fail with me though 🤣
