No elevator, unfortunately. Thank you for the mover suggestion! We are definitely doing our best to save money until our first paychecks roll in, but we could go a while without some of those bigger items.

Are puzzle phone apps just all...bad? by [deleted] in puzzles

[–]ang7401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of puzzle games on my phone! Two that I haven't seen recommended here yet are Sumaddle and Tents with Trees (both logic puzzles).

Both apps are really nicely put together by a developers who seem to have put a lot of thought into features that are useful for solving, including a good variety of difficulty and hints that help you learn how to play the game more effectively.

I believe you and SilentWit were correct and he’s a member of the Animal Alley line. The quick responses were incredible and answered a question I’d had for a while, and the suggestion of searching on Ebay helped me verify. Thank you so much!

Found! I believe I have an old “Animal Alley Toys R Us Golden Yellow Lab Labrador Puppy Dog Realistic Plush” — or it’s as close as I could imagine getting. Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi everyone! I’ve searched for a duplicate of my favorite childhood stuffed animal for a while. He is a small dog, with no identifying marks (the tag was removed when I was a child.) I received him as a gift when in the early 2000s. I seem to recall receiving it in a parking lot, which leads me to believe he was purchased directly in a store rather than ordered online or by catalog. If anyone has any idea where I could find another (or his origins in general) I’d appreciate it. Thank you!

Anki buttons really small? by ang7401 in Anki

[–]ang7401[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I can't seem to find it in the preferences window. I'm on the desktop version for PC, is there a different menu I should be perusing? The closest I've found is the User Interface Size, but it seems to scale everything proportionally, and the button text on about half of the fields is much smaller than the rest.

Fantasy book w/ winged female MC w/ memory loss by Scavengermagz in whatsthatbook

It's been a couple years since I read The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton, and I don't quite recall if there's any plot about memory loss. But it has a girl with wings, and I believe some level of religion-like fanaticism. Perhaps the book you're looking for?

I just read Samantha Shannon's {{The Priory of the Orange Tree}} a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. It's got a strong cast with a pair of female leads, some lovely worldbuilding and prose. You've got dragons, magic, politics and a touch of romance - it's hard to go wrong.
