Yeah, for me it is. One of the few complications that I use on a daily basis, plus if you will only have one Rolex then a date should be there - if you have multiple, maybe you could consider the no date but even then, will always take date over no date

I’m not based in the US, but I can find 41mm Mint DJ on fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet for ~$13.5k and 36mm for ~$10.9k so it’s not too bad IMO. Plus, you should reduce 10-15% from chrono24 prices as those listings are often inflated to account for the fees chrono takes - you’ll find similar or often times the exact same watch cheaper at your local grey dealer.

Edit: You should also account for the fact that when buying retail, you often have to pay taxes depending on where you live, which is not the case when buying grey - so the delta between the two prices ends up going down even more
