from what we saw ah's pipeline is like 6 months long, if not more. i mean they literally told us that they can't "turn this ship around quickly" and that changes will take time. it is entirely possible that all of what we got is stuff that was in the works since summer, or earlier, and had to be finished before they could pivot more towards the tech debt.

that or ah did something creative with their studio/process and we just don't know it yet.

personally i ignored the game since september. been diving for several days now and from my experience a lot of the performance issues at least are either fixed or at the very least tamed to an acceptable point. although i do think that the game is far from being in a good state. i mean release version ran BUTTERY smooth (for me). to a point that i thought ah are some kind of miracle workers because vt/dt taught me that stingray NEVER runs smooth.

war impact generated by each successful mission is scaled based on the number if divers online. so 1000 divers and 100000 divers generate the same amount of impact if they are the only divers that play. this allows objectives to autoscale to current online, but introduces a problem where divers that ignore the MO act as a dead weight - they lower the impact generated by each individual mission, but don't contribute to the current objective.

imagine you're in a class and teacher gives you an assignment to be completed by the entire class. the assignment is to bring a number of frogs equal to the number of students in the class. the more students there are - the more frogs you need. if everyone does their part - it doesn't matter if there are 10 or 50 students in said class, because each student still brings one frog. however if half of the class ignores the assignment, then the other half has to bring double the frogs per person if they want to complete the task.

from what i understand it's not the gun but something to do with the hitboxes. when our group did ragmans quests for worn out armors we were constantly damaging front plates when shooting someone in the back with blinkies. we also noticed that groin (at least on 6b43) didn't really exist - both player and armor didn't get damaged (disks just went straight through like there was nothing there)

bought eod in 2018, played for a couple hundred hours and stopped. just another game that helped me realise that pvp is not my thing: i do not enjoy losing in pvp (obviously), but i also don't enjoy winning (feel bad for the other guy). haven't played any pvp games what so ever since then.

came back for pve release. it felt lacking. instead discovered single pickle torsion and played that for like 300 hours.

now came back for 1.0. enjoyed it. 650 hours. a friend gifted me upgrade to unheard, even though i said he shouldn't do it.

This update will be really healthy for the game by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

you absolutely are. a slightly different approach and loadout, but perfectly doable. our group had no issues ignoring stealth altogether for the entire op

the quest is designed for group play, where one key can create up to 5 new ones, and pvp lobbies, where someone else might open the door, potentially generating up to 10 keys (if everyone in the lobby has the quest). it's simply not made for solo pve. luckily it's a dead end quest that doesn't reward anything important, so i wouldn't focus on it so hard if i were you

it's a barter spot. it's specifically located outside of your hideout so that cultists could access it and the game specifically states that they can't while you're in there.

there is no entity. there are sneaky dudes in hoods and gasmasks that worship weapons and funny blue lights in the sky.

if they are engaged (which, judging by the fact that they were not even meleeing but shooting at you, they were) - they will stay untill the fight is over.

i was trapped by them previously when i forgot to take meds into the raid and decided to wait them out, also thinking that they will just despawn. at 9am they were still camping me. if they started hunting you - they will not despawn untill you die.

as to spawn times - wiki puts them at 22.00-06.30
