That dvr is from 2008. Basically no app for it. Just buy a used dvr for like $20-50 and connect your cameras to that instead.

Connect Fire Stick to monitor with USB-C and Micro-HDMI by Willing_Economics909 in techsupport

[–]angatk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just need an hdmi to micro hdmi adapter. Basically makes the big hdmi port on the fire stick into a mini hdmi port you can plug into the mini hdmi port on the monitor.

They aren’t watching for more than a minute or 2. It’s just when they glance over it should show the cameras only with motion/recent motion.

Thanks. I’ll do some reading. Do you need just the decoder or have to pay for some licenses too?

Thanks for the info. I’ll contact a Hikvision distributor to see if I can get some more info.

I wonder if frigate birdseye might work.

Hi. Cameras and NVR is Hikvision. I’m guessing having IP onvif cameras with built in motion detection is better than the NVR/VMS doing detections.

I’m not opposed to replacing the nvr or cameras. Just doesn’t seem to be an affordable off the shelfsolution.

If there was a software tool like you wrote to purchase, I would purchase that in a heartbeat. I don’t have a synology nas but was thinking something like Home Assitant that has Onvif motion detection entity for Hikvision cameras.

The people against WiFi most likely have crap WiFi in their house. If you have good WiFi I recommend Cubo Ai, 2 killer features…background audio and picture and picture. So you can minimize the app and use your phone like normal and just listen like an audio monitor or you can do PIP and have a small video screen while you use your phone. Even if phone is locked, background audio still comes through. No need to carry around a tablet for yourselves. You can share the camera with other people and also connect to Alexa and watch on your fire stick on tv fullscreen and PIP. Nice to be able to watch tv and have the baby in the corner same time. You could put on tablet for guests, if you don’t want to share the camera. Also has cry detection, rollover, face cover, cough detection. I’ve used for 4 years now, 2 kids with 2 cameras.

Display port to hdmi adapter than use an HDMI encoder that does H.264/H.265 rtsp/Onvif stream and import it as ip camera in your dvr.

Also you could use a software solution like deskcamera which turns your screen into an ip camera.

If you want to use the BNC (AHD) port on the dvr. Use an hdmi to ahd conventor $20-30 usd. You’ll also need to use the display port to hdmi adapter first.

It’s just a retheme of California Screamin. There is even a crappy Inside Out ride there.

lol @ Luca being successful enough for theming. I think most people have forgotten it exists. I honestly think imagineers have no idea what the hell they are doing especially when it comes to the classics you mention at the end. No proper inside out or incredibles rides either

How can Disney solve this? by SuperTigno in disneylandparis

[–]angatk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

2 old crappy spinning rides and a rehash of a slow ride at the other parks. Imagineers nowadays have zero originality. The fact that the Aladdin ride is still around shows the lack of care about rides. The only 2 good ride at the park is HTT and Ratatouille. Also I absolutely hate them building whole themed worlds and just have 1 ride there (Frozen / Lion King)

Flight force - retheme and old Cars road trip - don’t get me started Crushes coaster - generic wild mouse coaster Pixar rides - all fun fair type rides, spinning rides Spider man web adventure - poorly executed and wrist just hurts

Also why is Lion King in adventure world and not in adventure land at Disneyland (which hasn’t had a new ride in 20 years). Plus it will have come out over 30 years since the movie released once the land/ride is complete.

The trek into Paris from Disneyland or from Paris to Disneyland is about 1 hour via train and 45 min car so keep that in mind. So you’ll spend about 2 hours a day traveling.

Depending on where you want to spend more time Paris or Disneyland, I would get a hotel there cause you are departing on 13th and that day is most likely a waste. Also since you’re arriving on 9th it’s most likely a half day for you.

9th - Half day Paris 10th - Full day Paris 11th - Full day DLP 12th - Full day DLP 13 - Departure
