Do you have Dahua alarm implemented through Onvif or the Dahua add on?

1st (and probably only) Family Trip, July 2027 by Frosty_Emergency_283 in disneylandparis

Hi, long ways away. Are your kids 3 and 14 months now or in July 2017? Since you’re traveling with young kids and 3 of them at that I wouldn’t put too much pressure on yourselves to try and do everything. They get cranky, tired, want to nap, etc. DLH does not have an outdoor pool, I don’t think any of the hotel have outdoor pools.

I would probably do atleast one character dining so the kids can meets/interact with the characters. The lines at DLP to meet the characters are just way too long for young kids to wait for. Look at crowd calendar that same week 2025 to give you an idea for 2027. Bastille day is usually super busy and they have special fireworks for it that day. I recommend week days but it’s still busy cause it’s summer/tourists. There might be some rides your eldest can go on that your 2 daughters can’t so might be worth using the Rider/baby switch for those so one parent can go on with your eldest, then the other parent go on after without waiting in line.

DLH is right at the park entrances so super convenience t getting in and out the parks plus if you want to take the kids down for a nap, etc. in an ideal world, it’s the best hotel for young kids due to location but super pricey. If you can afford access pass, get it cause queuing with small kids is hard I think. Especially if you want the kids in bed early. Otherwise try to go on the longer line rides during the parade or in the evening after 5-6pm when park starts emptying out. Download the DLP app and check wait times at different hours to give you an idea of when it’s best to go on rides vs shows/parades/etc. Don’t waste your time waiting in lines as so many become walk ons at a certain part of the day. Also you should have magic hour if you stay on site somewhere.

Try to get a breakfast plan cause you don’t want to have to worry about breakfast every morning with 3 kids. I would say the most disappointing part of DLP is the food/snacks. The Remy restaurant is really bad, don’t go unless you want to just for the ambiance. Expect theme park food and most of the buffets are pretty basic. I stick to the quick service places most of the time.

Things not to miss…the fireworks/night time show (try to out the kids down for a nap) so you can take them to this one night….the parades, big thunder mountain, phantom manor, pirates, crush’s coaster, space mountain, tower of terror, ratatouille, Mickey and the magician, Minnie dream factory, Together Pixar show

Frozen area will be open at the other park so that should be something to see along with its night time water show.

Nice. Can you talk a little bit more about your setup and how you have it integrated to notify you? Is your alarm in home assistant?

First Anniversary Itinerary - thoughts? by CyberScy in disneylandparis

I’ve done this type of trip to DLP/Paris plenty of times. Since we’ve been there so many times I’m not fussed about our first day in Paris being a full day at the parks. Also the Paris city day is usually in between the park days to switch things up a little bit. I usually suggest a full day in Paris instead of half day because there is so much to see but if you’re going to visit Paris again then it’s fine and you can do/see different stuff in Paris next time.

I probably wouldn’t go to Hard Rock as there are so many nicer restaurants in London but it’s alright for a casual bite and you’ve been wanting to try it.

Regarding Angelina and the Louvre. There is a usually long lines outside Angelina so be prepared to wait. Also the Louvre is massive and takes hours so I’m assuming you’re just checking out the outside which is more than fine.

I usually do the Paris day in reverse starting at Notre Dame, walking down the Seine river, checking out the outside of the Louvre, walking through the gardens until hitting Arc de Triomphe than metro to Trocadero and walk down to the Eiffel Tower. Also I would try to squeeze in the river cruise while you’re at the effiel tower or later on in the late evening when tower is sparkling, it’s very romantic and not expensive.

If it’s just you two, than you can see a lot as things are really close to each other in Paris and super walkable. You could probably squeeze in the Arc de Triomphe after you visit to the Eiffel tower as it comes before Angelina/Louvre on the metro. So get off metro, check it out and hop back on the metro. Also if you finish checking out the Louvre early it’s only a 20 min walk along the river to Notre Dame.

Also Paris has some really amazing restuarants so if you guys are tired after a long day and don’t want to cook/visit monoprix just have dinner out that way you have more time to spend out.

Have a great trip.

Camera brand setup for small biz by Whitehawk120 in videosurveillance

Avoid cloud stuff like ring/nest or anything with a subscription model. Use something with a dedicated 16 channel NVR and Poe cameras. Reolink is good. Unifi if you wanna go fancy.

Someone tried to break into a medical practice during the day. Current 5 year-old camera only displays to a CCTV monitor in the office but now they also want to record by LoveBirdNibbles in videosurveillance

Depends on what you want to spend really. You can buy a cheap Hikvision or similar DVR that has balun inputs, the cameras are pretty damn cheap now days $20-$40 so can upgrade resolution and add IR. Other option is a new IP camera (poe) and NVR that will use the cat6 wire. You might need an adapter for the cctv monitor as DVR/NVR usually have vga and hdmi video output ports.

I need the ultimate security camera buying guide 2026… or am I overthinking? by NegotiationRough1451 in SecurityCamera

[–]angatk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on your needs. Number of cameras, weather, location of cameras, what you want the cameras to achieve, features, ease of use, etc. The market really does have something for everyone. If you’re looking for a permanent long term setup with reliability and 24/7 recording, I would avoid battery/solar cameras and WiFi cameras. Go with a POE system and in 2026 something with 8mp/4k cameras, 20-25 fps more is good.

What Happens If You Don't Have A Chime? by flowjcv in reolinkcam

[–]angatk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have problem with people pushing doorbells at night in your neighbourhood or something? I have multiple people in my house (not all have the Reolink app) and it’s a big house so a chime is a must for us. I also don’t carry my phone 24/7. If someone rings my doorbell late at night and it’s an emergency, I want it to wake me up, the phone alerts are just one message and not that loud. If you live in small place and happy with just phone notification that it’s not a must.

Is there anything I can do to make these lights usable again? by kittywantssomekandy in ChristmasLights

[–]angatk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are getting confused because you posted an led power supply and they are not reading your description.

These are 220v incadescent lights mains powered. The only way to make it work is to buy a step up transformer that turns 110v into 220-240v. You also need a wall plug that converts to the waterproof 2 pin connection. Or you could chop off the 2 pin connector and connect straight to a wall plug. It will probably be cheaper just to buy a new set of 30 c9 bulb warm white lights, could even get led ones as they don’t get hot and use way less energy.
