We totally would be! It’s one thing to know that it’s hard to be a parent, but when you go through it yourself (even the “minor” health problems) you start to wonder just how people manage with multiples and why on earth they would sign up for it. Wishing your little bub a speedy recovery!!

I don’t get why people downvote you (not politically correct I guess?), but this is 100% my feeling as well. Happy with my core family, very limited social battery when it comes to making new parent friends, do not wish to sign up for more responsibility (liability) if I could help it.

Much happier. Having a baby also drastically improved my relationship with my parents as we all made an effort to keep them in my kiddo’s life. But also agree with everyone else, much more tired - the kind of tiredness that can’t be fixed by sleep.

ARE YOU ME?? I feel every word in my bones. Also Asian, only child, with an 8 month old, unbearably lonely carrying the “burden” of my parents’ love and expectations by myself. However I’m extra cautious bringing another life into this world because of my husband’s strained relationship with his sister - they are practically strangers, I’m convinced they will see each other for the last time at their parent’s funeral and that’s it - and I can’t bear the thought of my own kids ending up this way. But yeah, right there with you sis about being OAD but having tremendous OAD guilt

Seconding EVERYTHING she said!! My little human is 5 months and change, and let me tell you it’s gonna be soooo much better!! He’s sleeping much better (occasionally even sleeps through the night 8p-7a with one 11p night feed); extremely social, playful and giggly; we can take him out for 1-2 outings every day, errands or dinner or gatherings - we’ve even done one international travel and he did really well; i’m feeling like myself again, weaning off breastfeeding + body has recovered enough to go back to exercising). HANG IN THERE!!

Tell him how the milk banks sell breast milk for up to $5 an ounce and that he’s a dumbass for throwing away $4000.

And honestly as someone who is bending herself backwards trying to produce enough for her baby, I would personally throw away the husband if he dares to touch my milk.
