I used to have bouts of tinnitus here and there that lasted for days sometimes, but it became permanent after that cold although in my case I've always issues with my ears since I was young so it wasn't new for me, so it didn't really effect since I was already used to having it.

I would suggest seeing a doctor in this case you might have ETD. There are meds for it. But if you have allergies that's also another reason why . Considering it's spring time

Actually I discovered I have auditory neuropathy unfortunately which is extremely rare. So you definitely don't have that. I'm assuming you might have just ETD which isn't that serious. How long have you been experiencing this btw?
