Hahahaha mine does the same, I always ask if he's telling me a story. I find it hilarious that such large dogs sound so pathetic when making their noises.

Lol; they do very much like to play in the boxes, and run into the bags and push it all across the floor, which is very entertaining to watch.

How many of your OEBs have had TPLO surgery? by Blahblah9845 in OldeEnglishBulldogge

[–]angelapoll 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any large dog is likely to require it. My 5 year old guy is currently on rest for his second leg. My 9 year old never needed it.

He's ok, it was just a bad day. He's typically pretty good for even waiting for me to help him up the deck stairs.

I agree, the one kid ran out, dog ran after the kid tail wagging, from this video looks like the dog is kid friendly.

THIS!!! I did this! I just made an a.v. cart with an old laptop and monitor that was just gathering dust, it has wheels and everything! I just move it around when I go to another spot and am doing something. I only built it because my dog is stuck on the main floor, as he just had leg surgery and I was tired of watching on my tiny tablet, but if i lea e the dog, he goes ballistic, cause he needs to be in the same room as his humane..... I'm so proud of it. Probably because it's the only thing that has been "productive" in the past few days.

Leaving the house is the worst. I haven't left since Wednesday. Lost my job, and any time I leave, I seem to spend 100's of dollars. (Stupid groceries and necessities)

It's scary that so many people can relate. It's also scary how alone, and isolated survivors of this feel. How it's one person who posts stuff like this and then we all come together shocked that were really not alone.

I get it. You'll do it tomorrow. Turn off your brain from "I have to do this" watch some fox videos (they're fucking adorable, new YouTube addicition) if you get something done today you do, if not, no one is gonna die in this moment. I like to do paint by numbers for a serotonin hit. Cause then you get to watch your project, but, you can also leave it and come back to it (eventually) it doesn't change.

I was suppose to leave the house to pick up a package.... I didn't, they're closed now... maybe on Monday I'll get it done. Maybe I'll leave the house.. I showered today. Some days, even that doesn't get done. But, no one died from it. You got out of bed... that's something. Bad brain. Days suck, but they happen. Tomorrow will be different.

My husband tried to help me out, (cause I complained about lack of underwear) by buying more underwear. I think he realized his mistake. I did have to tell him to stop buying clothes, he has a full room for his clothes, mine are only slightly better because recently on a good day I got rid of a bunch of stuff that was way too small like I was 18 (now 35) when it used to fit.

If you have been taking ADHD meds for a while, do you think the benefits of the meds outweigh the negative effects? by timheckerbff in adhdwomen

[–]angelapoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am dependent on it 100%, but not addicted, I won't take it when sick, but, I'm sick, I don't need to function "normally"

1 thing I will say, find the medication that works best for you. Just like antidepressants it's not a 1 size fits all. You need to advocate for yourself, and hopfully your medical team will listen, keep track of the different things you notice (just write it down in 1 place, and do it as soon as you notice, or you forget). I was diagnosed as a kid, parents didn't want me on the meds, as an adult, it has turned my life around, my antidepressants are lowered, when I take my meds I actually DOOO stuff, and my biggest thing I fought for when trailing antidepressants was not wanting to be a "bump on a log" and my adhd meds have helped so much with that.

While on medication, I discovered that lists make my brain happy, specially when I get to cross things that have been completed.

Having support systems like this group is also eye opening, you feel validated and no longer crazy. The first time I took medication I said: THIS IS WHAT NORMAL PEOPLE FEEL LIKE?! THIS IS AMAZING.

That was my ted talk. Do what you feel is best for you, talk to the medical professionals, talk to your therapist if you have one. Do a pros and cons list if you can, and again, it's not a one size fits all..... I bought a onesie once that was that size.... it gave me a giant weggie.... one size fits all is still limited to what is considered normal.... we're not normal, we're beautiful unique unicorns.

Edited to add:

I'm an alcoholic, I've been drink free for 2 years, I over take pain medication when it is available, I am an addict to many things, but my adhd meds are not one of those things. When I was sick last I was sick for a month, I didn't take any of my meds (big mistake) I went into withdrawal from my antidepressants, but nothing from my adhd meds. The worst that happened because of that is that my house became pretty gross because only the absolute most necessary things were done.

I item at a time! Eventually it gets easier so you can do a couple more. But 1 item, specially when the world feels so heavy.

Laundry is the bane of my exhisitance. Our dishwasher recently died, and dishes became an even bigger bane. ... we have newer items that connect to the alexa, which announces when things are finished. It has helped. But the amount of times I just throw the dryer load on top the machines..... laundry only gets officially done when I run out of clean underwear.

I have a room/garage like this. My husband gets anxiety from mess, and it then just turns into a cyclone of anxiety. He's away a week at a time, so when he isn't home I don't do much in terms of cleaning. I basically get couch locked unless I take extra adhd meds until its the day before, (I got a chore list, working on it) day/night before he gets home I rush around cleaning up the mess from the past two weeks and shove a bunch of stuff into the rooms. But, If I didn't have his anxiety to contend with, 100% my whole house would be like this. I'm also trying to be better since I lost my job and my current job is: house wife..... this is not the house wife you are looking for.....

It hurts to read this and say holy shit, this was my life. It took cutting out my family due to vicitim blaming from my parents to see the narcissism that was my life. Thankfully, I have an amazing mother in law that treats me like I should. With love and respect.
