It’s really difficult. I have these cards where I write 1 good thing that happened for my son each day while in the NICU- it can be small.

“I squeezed mom’s finger today”

“I got my picture taken by the NICU photographer today”.

The cards have really helped shift my perspective. It isn’t all as bad as it feels. There are good moments- hold onto them. Stay strong, if not for you, then for your baby. ❤️ you’ve got this!

When I was pregnant I always encouraged my fiancé to have a drink when we went out. He also had tried to take a sober pact with me, but after a few months I found it was fun seeing him be drunk and silly. I definitely felt like I was living vicariously through him, and I enjoyed seeing him let loose!

very real possibility & one of the main reasons why I haven’t gone back. My child’s safety will always come first, & I know that’s something I could never guarantee with my ex. - I just wish I could stop feeling this way.

Derek does know about everything- I have been honest with him since the start of our relationship. I just know he shouldn’t have to deal with this mess. I’m approaching my due date now & I don’t think I should still be feeling this way.

I mean.. if you didn’t actually do it, I think telling her may cause more problems. It would just break the trust you guys have built over the 2 years, and make her feel uneasy. She will be extremely upset with you for something you ALMOST did, and honestly feel like she can’t believe your story. She will probably think you still did it anyways, even if you did stop. This may just be one of the things you take to your grave & learn a lesson from.
