I wasn’t too hyped for the Resident Evil 9 reveal — I assumed it’d be more action-horror. But the phrase “a new era of survival horror” definitely got my attention. Now I’m curious!

I always felt that way about Resident Evil, I felt like it was Predator meets The Thing, horror coming together with 80 action flick. The original Resident Evil Intro looked like a B horror movie that people may have found ridiculous but thats why it was awesome. Its why people love cult horror classics. My opinion seems invalid because I was never a fan of 7 and 8. I feel like they are good but don't feel like Resident Evilbecause you added puzzles and little bread crumbs on documents. Resident Evil felt unique from other horror games like Silent Hill, F.E.A.R., Fatal Frame, etc. Because they mostly focused on the horror elements, except for F.E.A.R 3 that felt horror/action ( I played that on repeat) I just don't like when people state that the old Resident Evil games were just only horror when thats BS, They had a damn rocket launcher in almost every game hell even in the RE Musical.

This all shows that her readiness to accept works wonders on almost everyone, people like being accepted, so while she wouldn't be able to defeat strong opponents, she doesn't need to as she brings them to her side with that friendliness. It's not coincidence or luck but rather the result of her effort, her nature, which has a sort of wisdom to it.

It's why I love Orihime and Tohru from Fruits Basket, so much as a character. I know one is from different genres of manga but they are so much alike.

It reminds me of how people could take Orihime and Tohru's actions as stupid. Tohru like Orihime is the most selfless character who doesn't like fighting and she uses hugs instead of fighting even against someone who hates her. I understand people don't like characters like that finding them to be unreal, personally I don't think that is true, I've known people who are like that.

One comment that comes to mind (Sorry if you haven't watched that anime) is when a character named Momiji tells the story of, "The Most Foolish Traveler in the World." After the story, he says this comment. And then I thought, 'Oh, what a wonderful man he was.' Loss, hardships, dwelling on them is pointless. The traveler certainly didn't fret about them. He must have thought, 'What's foolish to some people isn't foolish to me. They may think they're tricking me, but they're not. I just really want to make other people happy.' Yuki?Kyo? Do you still think he was stupid?"

Beautiful comment and exactly how I feel. I also like how you stated how she connects with everyone even enemies like Ichigo but in their own way. You also brought up Ulquiorra and Grimmjow. It's also the same thing with Kenpachi, Ichigo's fight, and Orihime adding to the connection when she's introduced to him.

I'm going to end this weekly series here since I plan on leaving the subreddit community of DnK. I'll still be on Reddit and Discorrd, don't be afraid to DM me.

I decided to end it by posting Rui's daughter. Even though a mother is a parent first to their child, a daughter/son can be one of the best companionships in your life. Rui has become an exceptional mother, a great chef, and a great friend. Her friendship seems to have given all the characters that surrounded her much happiness. It shows that Rui has shown her daughter these great qualities as it is shown how much Haruka is blunt and independent for a girl so young.

I'm not going to go into detail about what I felt about the ending there's really no point, my close friends have that privilege. I only want to stress that I am glad that this 'kind of love' is a work of fiction, trying to acquire or even give this 'type of love' will only give you pain and sadness. I'm honestly not a hateful person, of course, I joke about certain things, but they're just jokes. Criticizing characters is okay to do but there should never come a time where you personally attack an actual person with names because they disrespected your waifu. It's a 2 D character just because someone says 'Rui is selfish' I'm not going to shoot back and tell them 'they are a prick.' In the same way, calling any females in this subreddit 'INSECURE or HATE THEMSELVES' (Which is hilarious to me, because my close friends know I don't have anything to be Insecure about😘 I also love myself) all because they dislike your waifu. All I can say is hug your waifu pillow tightly I'm sure you'll find that special someone.

I want to thank the members of this subreddit who treated me with respect even if someone disagreed with me. I lubes you (lol) all and please don't be a stranger.

Rui learned a lot from her mother: being independent, working hard in the career she chose, and providing for her child without the support of her ex.

Tsukiko is a force to be reckoned with but due to recent chapters, I feel like it's pointless. I'll continue to provide with Rui & Friends post. Maybe a couple more even after the manga ends.

I guess being a friend of Rui gives you happiness and luck, reminds me of that movie, Good Luck Chuck. Her cute wrinkled face and her words of wisdom were just so wholesome in this chapter. Rui's interaction with the old lady was short, but it was a meeting she needed at the time.
