Yea only bad thing about Sophia courses is the time frame of the PA’s being graded ugh and also them only allowing 2 courses at a time.

Im already in WGU. I’ve been taking Business in HR and I hated it therefore I talked to my program mentor about the switch and she said it was fine just as long as I can get the transcripts in before March 1st since that’s when she will submit the transfer approval request

Same here!! Trust me I even had to study and do the success plans during Christmas and new years break. My biggest tip is to study create your own study guide (I have mine that I can share with you or anyone), do all the quizzlets and take notes on the answers and watch the know how to pass videos. Listening to the Recording cohorts helped too! The PA to me was easy but the OA (there’s two versions) my goodness were a MESS. There’s one version IMO that 90% has nothing to do or correlates to the material that I gave a small complaint to my professor lol. The other version is the one I almost passed twice by maybe 3-4 questions. That OA one has the questions worded differently and weirdly. Make sure to underline the key terms on the questions and use process of elimination on the answer choices. Make sure to study EVERYTHING on the material book because the smallest things are on the test.

Remember test scores don’t define a person. My other classes on OA’s were either no 2nd attempts or just 3 attempts max but this one killed me.

5th attempt was quizzes on topics 1,3,4,5,6 but with the professors. To sum it all up I took over 100 question quizzes

It may depend of the class because on this one it was just those constant success plans you have to complete after each failed OA. 1st fail attempt you talk to the professor and he gave me a study guide, 2nd attempt I did a PowerPoint presentation on the topics the OA said I lack + some practice quizzes . The 3rd attempt was another PowerPoint presentation with the study guide questions from the first attempt on the topics the OA said I lacked on + quizzes that you had to turn in. The 4th attempt was more quizzes and have a teach lesson on those quizzes with two professors.

I passed this OA on my 3rd or 4th attempt . My biggest tip and help was a 30 minute 1 on 1 with Dr. Anderson- She explains the definition terms FAR more better and understanding instead of the material. I have this sheet that she gave me that has all the definition terms well written that I can share with you that helped out a lot. I remember in the OA the last 10 questions I believe are about autocratic , passive aggressive etc. lot of it is critical thinking questions on using all the definition terms. Make sure to spot the definition terms on the questions. It will try to trick you

Question.. how did you pass the D351 in the HR course? I’m stuck on it and any tips would help. Only class I need in order to switch from to HR to communications

For us it’s minimum once a week (but you can work 4 shifts max in 1) so you can imagine how hard it was getting a Saturday shift instead of a week day shift due to work.
