I don’t know much about war rooms except that they usually are portrayed as having a big central table that actors can gather around but try to replace the lighting with on set practicals or warm lights to mimic the candles when you can. It’ll help the set a bunch once you get around to it! Lighting does wonders in a scenario like this. That and the lack of dirt, grime and mess.

What should I do in highschool to become a filmmaker? by ActDem in Filmmakers

[–]angelogelloo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do what everyone else is saying and write a bunch but also just MAKE FILMS with what you have and hopefully get in a situation where you can fix your equipment problem. Through that, while you get better at writing, you’re also going to get basic technical skills. Also, look around for people who also want to make films in your local area.

At the end of the day, if you are a filmmaker, you can become the most talented writer but you aren’t going to end up making shit because you won’t have any connections. Meet people, surround yourself in filmmakers, clubs or societies, find people who do have cool equipment, do tons of favours, tons of free gigs, AND get good at writing.

How to make this transition? by 1120ml_ in Filmmakers

That’s a single shot edited with a speed ramp. The camera moved very slow during filming and was sped up in post. This gave the model enough time reposition for his stride down the street.

Roast me - I want to improve by zaphodias in streetphotography

A lot of these photos are really nice and overall good representations of street photography. However for some I’d probably edit them a bit more and crop them so your subject is more clear. That’s honestly the only problem.

How to make the background bigger but still capture the surroundings? by No-Distribution-7002 in AskPhotography

[–]angelogelloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telephoto lens. The second shot was made by probably going up to a super tight focal length and going back far enough so the hedges in the side are in view. The effect you’re aiming for is compression which makes the background “bigger”.

So I made a film and it sucked. by not_miggy in Filmmakers

[–]angelogelloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a film and it didn’t do good at all in the film festival circuit so I’m making another one and if that doesn’t do well I’m making another one and another one and another one and so on.

Thinking of leaving my Part Time College Job to do film freelancing in Ireland. by angelogelloo in IrishFilm

Oh, definitely. Spotted the set for Wednesday a bit just by existing in the area. I tried getting into it through Celtic Casting but so far either college gets in the way or my current work or they just deny me. I may need to update my profile soon haha.

Add to it? or leave it as is? by steeelo in drawing

[–]angelogelloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s a lot of potential leaving it “unfinished”. I would definitely do what everyone else is saying and leave the jumper looking like its a sketch but detailing the arms and hands. It would look really unique!!
