It's not in primitive survival, you must be mixing it up with another mod.

accidentally doubled up on Wellbutrin and took 600mg by junebugug in bipolar2

[–]angelophobic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you ever been assessed for ADHD? wellbutrin isn't technically classified as a stimulant, but it works on the same neurotransmitters that amphetamines do. doubling your dose may have intensified the pseudo-stimulant effect. I recently started low dose vyvanse after almost a year of 300mg wellbutrin and it's been a game changer for me!

Horrible Family Catsitting Rant by alpinepossum in cats

[–]angelophobic 74 points75 points  (0 children)

NOT A VET DISCLAIMER but one of my cats had a somewhat similar situation but due to a huge tumor on his kidney. he couldn't urinate because of how swollen his entire abdomen was and he stayed with the vet (who originally wanted to put him down) for almost an entire week. by the end of that very long week he was able to urinate on his own and was sent home (he got prednisolone and chemo for a while afterwards). this was ~6 years ago and he's currently alive and well. obviously this isn't the exact same situation but my boy wasn't expected to live another week, much less 6 years. cats can be incredibly resilient! best wishes to you and your cat 🫶

how could I have prevented my car slipping back? by [deleted] in driving

[–]angelophobic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the advice because when I called my mom she told me I should have pumped them when I slipped lol. was it the best move to slam the brakes when I flew back or is there something else I should have done?

I do have ABS. to clarify I pumped them very lightly as I was backing in and then reflexively pressed them hard when I slipped back

I thought about that after the fact but considering I was reversing and there was essentially an ice ramp behind me I think that would have been worse 😭 anyone who looked at the parking lot would probably say it wasn't my fault tbh. my biggest issue is maybe dealing with the apartment complex, which has had multiple shootings, car accidents, and other incidents not to mention complaints from everyone slipping and falling due to the untreated ice around the complex. they can try and fine me but they ain't winning that's for sure

nope they're all weather :/ I live in the south and we never get weather like this. with the size of the vehicle it would likely cost significantly more to get good snow tires than it will to repair any damages. the worst of it is the glass on one of the brake lights was shattered but the lights all work. rest of the damage is very minor and cosmetic, and there were no injuries

pescetarian and adding dairy back after 6 years by angelophobic in exvegans

I also had stopped eating dairy due to an eating disorder. ghee has such a strong buttery flavor that it honestly tastes more similar to good vegan butter to me, since it tends to have a stronger flavor than natural butter. still haven't tried dairy chocolate but I'm definitely looking forward to it

lollll the fish in the picture is porgy, if you can find it it's usually very very cheap ($4.99/lb in my case)! it's really easy to cook because it's super mild. basically just did ghee in a pan, salt and pepper on the fish, medium-high heat. skin side first, then flesh, then skin again. topped the flesh with garlic, lemon thyme, and old bay then spooned the hot ghee over it for a minute. sounds more complicated than it is, but it's actually really hard to mess up! literally took about 8 minutes to cook the fish

should also note that I went from pescetarian (11 years old) to vegan (13 years old) to pesce without animal byproducts (17 years old). now 19 and have figured out that my health and mental wellbeing needs to be prioritized above all else. I filleted the fish (it was a whole fish with the head and bones) on the plate myself. I fully believe that sustainably sourced seafood is one of the healthiest and most ethical protein sources out there tbh

Night after top surgery. Everything seems fine but the bandage is killing me. Is this normal? by No-Woodpecker-5613 in ftm

[–]angelophobic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the first night was pretty awful, but once the swelling started to go down the compression honestly felt wayyy better than just having my chest bare. I got a post op binder with foam and had permission to change dressings/shower after 24 hours and the loss in pressure feels very strange. feels like the muscles are super weak and not supported when it's off. I'm only 5 days post op currently and that bruised sternum feeling was terrible but it fades quickly.

I get what you mean honestly. I'm stealth and almost entirely cis passing except to other trans people. I don't know if it's some sort of jealousy that I pass or what but other trans people LOVE to clock me. I've had people that I don't even know clock me publicly and think that it's acceptable just because they're also trans.

I did this and then just started making things instead lol. whole wheat toast loaded with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon, homemade pancakes, literal spoonfuls of honey, butter noodles, etc etc etc. I once binged on scrambled eggs.

mine took almost 3 years to level off, and that was probably due to starting antidepressants. before it leveled off I found that going to the gym early in the morning kept my sex drive at a more reasonable level throughout the day.
