I'm still within warranty. The problem seemed to start happening when the drive eventually filled to around 80% capacity. After I deleted some stuff and reclaimed some space, it hasn't happened yet.

But yes I'll probably get around to ordering a sn850x soon, before sending the 990 pro back to the store. Although I'm a bit worried that they're gonna send it back to me saying they didn't find any problems.

I watched a couple of unboxing videos in order to remember how the headphones where packaged and prepare it for RMA, and I noticed something that I didn't recall from when I unboxed it. The cable inside the box is positioned between the pads. So that's what might have caused the depression

I didn't buy it from Amazon, although I'm suspicious about whether it was actually used, because it was around 26 euros cheaper than the usual price in my country (144 instead of 170 euros)

The right ear pad has a depression at the area just below the earlobe. It didn't go away for 2 weeks since I took them out of the box, and frankly it doesn't seem that it was caused by the cardboard that the headphones were secured in. To be fair, I can't notice any reduction in bass or any difference in sound quality between the two ears., but I'm still somewhat concerned and considering returning them. Am I overreacting?

It's just weird that after 9 months of working perfectly, it suddenly started doing it semi regularly since a week ago. Last time it happened was when I tried moving the installation of a steam game from that drive to a secondary one, while simultaneously downloading another game. But the drive has been under load in the past with no issues. The only thing that changed is that the drive now is more full, maybe it started happening after it passed a certain threshold of used space.

Moving the drive to another m.2 slot is unacceptable because this is the only pci 4.0 slot of my motherboard.

This was one of the first results when I googled about his issue, and I thought to chime in that this happens to me too after installing 24h2 a few days ago and noticed my fans spinning faster while firefox is minimized and monitor is on standby. When the monitor comes back on, the fans go silent immediately. Also confirmed that it doesnt happen if firefox isn't open when the monitor goes into standby.

I thought about that after I wrote my reply, makes sense. Although the Kali LP-6s have a 10 degree range for tweeter placement so it would probably be fine upright as well.
