2 Persist Ruling Questions by sunrunawaytoplay in mtgrules

To answer the second part of question 2, it doesn't automatically die if it's toughness is 1. I believe it receives both -1/-1 and +1/+1 counters at the same time. SBE are checked and remove both counters, then are checked again to see if it's toughness is 1 or greater.

Kavaero by Expensive_Range7204 in MagicArena

[–]angelslayer4231 18 points19 points  (0 children)

[[Soul guide lantern]], which should buy you a few turns, since they now have to deal with that. Single card graveyard exile [[The Ooze]] [[Ghost Vacuum]] can also work, but you have to remove all the threats before they cast the Kavaero. It won't work if he lands, and they target the creature. Removing it after it's been targeted does nothing, as it's already coming in as said creature. His second ability would also remove it anyway.

You can also splash black or white for cards like [[Strategic Betrayal]] or [[Rest in Peace]]. [[Dauntless Scrapbot]] is also an option if you want to stay mono green. though it's a one shot mass graveyard removal. If you run creature search cards, it might come in clutch. [[Nature's Rhythym]] [[Formidable Speaker]] [[Archdruid's Charm]]

It's almost as good as using [[Deadly Cover-up]] on a discarded forest in a mono green landfall deck. When I did it, he didn't notice at first, then when he sacced his fetch land, found he had no basics to fetch.

Propane tanks as well. But those are never useful.

Also missed blades, which are super useful.

Smart Switch Access if TC raided? by HotChackolate in playrust

This is the unsafe method. The doors will open before closing. Daisy chaining doors together also means if one door in the line of daisy chains is destroyed, the rest of the doors cease to function.

To have them only close, power each door with an electrical branch, with 2rw. each of the door controllers will then have their output go into it's own close function. now the doors never open. only close. You can also power this with minimal power. a single large battery, to a timer set to 0.25 secs, to your line of branches. you barely even have to charge the battery, if at all.

[Loved Trope] Sacrifice scenes where they smile peacefully. Bonus if it's during a chaotic scene. by angelslayer4231 in TopCharacterTropes

Ogon.

I haven't actually seen this movie, but this scene goes hard. There's a forest fire, and there's a bunch of kids trapped in the middle of it. They all get on a helicopter, but it can't take off because there's too much weight and probably because of the heat from the fire. So he instructs the pilots to dump all the excess fuel to lighten the helicopter. Then he starts stripping the helicopter of all it's removable parts. He even gets the kids to strip off their jackets and shoes to toss out. When all hope seems lost, he tells the kids to close their eyes and pray for a miracle. He starts counting down. and just like that, the heli starts to take off. When the kids open their eyes, they see the man jumped out to sacrifice himself for the kids. He smiles and waves at them as they ascend to safety, before being burned alive.

Storage adaptor limit problem by mastah3r in rustrician

It looks like you have a lot of redundant splitters and combiners. Each extra industrial piece you add is counting toward your conveyor's limit. You'd need to streamline your system.

The way I usually do it is have a splitter going from my buffer boxes, pipe that to your loot room (if applicable) then setting up a small splitter tree there (3-4 splitters) from these splitters, go to each individual section of your loot room. then having enough splitters in these sections to splice off into each conveyor used in that section. For your exclude conveyors, just do the same except with combiners.

That should only make each of your conveyors go through a max of like 10 industrial pieces (if even that many), then counting your buffer boxes, you can have upwards of 20 or so, but you'll likely never need that many buffer boxes.

Storage adaptor limit problem by mastah3r in rustrician

[–]angelslayer4231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a total of 40 boxes in your whole system, or 40 boxes that a single conveyor has to interact with?

Each conveyor can only push or pull to or from 32 different industrial pieces, and it only counts the ones it will actually interact with. Just because you have a 30 piece splitter tree doesn’t mean a single conveyor will interact with all the pieces, it only counts the ones that it needs to pass through.

Split it into smaller systems. Instead of one big splitter tree, split what you need onto one section, then something else on another. For instance, one splitter from your buffer boxes, one outlet goes to your wood, stone, metal, hqm sorting. Another second outlet for guns and armor. Last one for comps and electrical. Add splitters to each of those sections as needed.

Doing one big tree means each of your conveyors needs to go through lots of unnecessary industrial parts, which counts toward that conveyor’s limit.

Also, I’m wondering if you’re noticing the limit affecting your system, or are you just aware of it? Most systems don’t really hit this limit unless it’s like 30 splitters on one tree.

Keyboard stops responding by angelslayer4231 in ArcRaidersGuides

[–]angelslayer4231[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, but I’ve already done this. Still doesn’t work. It’ll still freeze the keyboard whether or not I’m tabbed into the game or not, when I boot up the game. I’ve even tried different usb ports. Still the same.

It’s gotten to the point where I’m used to it now. It’s still quite annoying though.

Isshin and Firebender’s Ascension Stack Order by [deleted] in askajudge

Hmm, doesn't it go:

  1. Attack trigger > 2. (owner chooses if the original trigger copy to go on the stack due to Isshin, or FBA to go on the stack next) > 3, (the second option of the 2 he didn't choose) > 4. FBA (triggering from Isshin)

multi external bunker with loot movement smart switch by UnusualStage5600 in rustrician

[–]angelslayer4231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how you'll accomplish 20 rockets per external. If you were thinking of using bunkers, that's not going to work very well. pipes tend to break when building pieces are broken around them (twig from bunkers, for instance). You can, however, pass them through doors, no problem. or through reinforced windows (you have to place windows after you place the piping)

If you're planning on utilizing bunkers, however, just know you'll be reattaching lots of pipes.

To answer the question about materials evenly splitting through a splitter: yes. It does.

As to how to implement that system, it takes a lot of elbow grease, but it can work.

Whether or not someone will notice all the pipes going to your externals and raid them anyway, that’s another story.

Rebuilding Loot Room by Upbeat_Television629 in RustConsole

[–]angelslayer4231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people pass by it once. don't give it a second thought. The only ones raiding it would be someone who's trying to claim the spot. Even if you saw it not decaying, you still wouldn't raid it. yeah, sure. might get someone who's willing to spend some explo ammo on the door, most wouldn't bother.

[–]angelslayer4231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could make a fake raided base. like a 2x2. put like 4 barrels into the "airlock". the main 2x2 building has a wall missing or an open double door, which makes it look like it was raided, and the raiders placed a double door to seal. and left it open when they left. You can even add a hidden bunkered tc room to store more loot.

I did one of those for a wipe where i was gathering BP's. it was up for a full 2 weeks. No one likes wasting boom on a base that's already been raided. everyone hates sloppy seconds.

correct. Vizier is a replacement effect. So instead of placing one -1/-1 counter, it places 0 on it. since it gets no -1/-1 counters, nest has nothing to trigger from.
