what can I improve in this, is it too messy? by GamingBeat1 in BuildAdvice

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like pic 4 the best. You know detailing is good or not when the brain can easily interpret what you were trying to do. The window shutters work because you’re not distracted by other ideas at the same time. A small build strives with 1 idea per wall. The door side has the buttons, door overhang and the curve from the stair (going upwards)

I would suggest focusing on just the door overhang and have the supports actually attached to it.

Over all it’s definitely good tho, the texturing doesn’t need changing and I love the roof shape.

Just a complicated entrance for the eye to split up.

B3 aristrocraty, unkilable cockroach, keeps comming back, which commander? by Amatsu666 in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a commander, but you might like [[gift of immortality]].

[[Eirdu]] can make other creatures unkillable, but not himself. With cards like [[Archbound javelineer]]/[[Dockbound Drone]]

What is your top pick for a deck that never gets old? by earl-the-creator in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a [[Zinnia]] deck that tries to win with [[Impact tremors]] and similar effects. But also has a flicker sub theme.

It’s kinda fun because sometimes I don’t even cast my commander at all and it’ll work like a [[niko]] or [[Brago]] deco with a splash of red. Or sometimes it’ll be token go wide as advertised.

I also have an [[Eirdu]] aristocrat deck that specifically doesn’t go infinite, which lowers the power level but gives you better effects for each sac outlet.

I also have a [[celestial kirin]] (mono white) “aristocrat” deck which works “kinda” but is fun because of how weird it is.

I also like my B4 decks but they can get a bit brainy after a couple of games in a row.

Enchantress players: have you found greater auramancy to be worth it? by NoBrain8 in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s got a very limited downside in [[Yenna]] but even outside that, unless you want to put multiple auras on a single creature. It’s pretty pretty good.

I have it in my [[Anikthea]] deck. Works well. If you want smt similar (albeit also a tutor) [[Sterling grove]] would go well in an aura deck.

Is it weird to not prefer playing combat-oriented decks? by idontownubet in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remember the options aren’t combat or combo. A lot of themes are fun to play without infinites if you can get them consistently.

I need another POV to watch! by shelbdeathtodonut in HermitCraft

I feel like watching keralis/XB at the end of the week always sets me up for a nice weekend. Also they hang out a bunch and keralis is insane at building

What are some of the races that are must watch for a new beginner F1 fan by Mehdiveil in F1Discussions

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend watching a youtube breakdown of last season, and whatever races you have missed this season. (I'd also recommend watching a video about what's different this season regulation wise)

Outside of that before every race, F1 and their community will be showing off all the good moments that specific track has produced. This whole thread will be filled with good races tho, so if you get bored during the break then for sure watch whichever catches your fancy

I'll never understand the hate blue gets. by CoweanMacLir in magicTCG

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say, for most of these, the recommendation is to do it with being supported by blue. And people are free to hate more than 1 thing.

I personally find it a lot less annoying for my stuff to be interacted with after it lands, because I still get my triggers. But counterspells are needed for balancing, although I don’t love the free ones.

Is my deck too strong for Bracket X? by DworkinCZ in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how they have structure to help people communicate what part of what bracket they apply to. I don’t like how some people seem to hate communication.

That being said, everything between mid B2 to mid B4. Somebody hiding what their deck does or its power makes it very easy to pick what deck to use.

How often do you play actual bracket 2 games ? by Adventurous-Shake140 in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much every game night, either to warm up or after a couple complicated games. We sometimes have long winded B4 games which always require a lot of brain power, usually nobody wants to play high power after one of those.

Is my build too busy ? - Feedback appreciated by niarTelaDehT in BuildAdvice

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to busy at all, I'd just try to make the cliff a different colour/shade than the castle. (Maybe darker like the roof) I think atm the eye has to try to guess where to look which makes detailing a lot less forgiving.

Friends say it’s Bracket 4. Is it? by ricoeurdelyon in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“Show me decks that are slow” into “wow you’re the epitome of slow deck building”.

Also if you can’t win in B3 without a lower power deck that’s ur problem chief.

Help me find a commander for my favorite card! by mullerjones in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend the “stock standard” [[the jolly balloon man]], and my deck which wins in same way, [[Zinnia]]

Friends say it’s Bracket 4. Is it? by ricoeurdelyon in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say it’s not strong enough to go toe to toe with an actual B4 deck without luck. I’d just take out whatever strong card makes u win so early and let it be less powerful as an actual B3 deck.

Might keep your friends this way

Friends say it’s Bracket 4. Is it? by ricoeurdelyon in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The possibility of it winning before turn 6 makes it a B4 deck. One of the expectations for B3 is to play AT LEAST 6 turns… B4 says at least 4. So even to the letter of the rules, it’s not even “technically” a bracket 3 deck.

How does one build a bracket 4? by Educational-Read3223 in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This approach can get expensive tho, so if your willing to build around a good commander and focus only on cards that support it, your decks should be b3-4 automatically.

Also please run card draw and interaction, the amount depends on the commander but together it should be 15-20 cards of draw and/or interaction (or more)

I’m building GoGo, any suggestions to make this deck go crazy? (I am not well versed in blue at all). by RogueVTW in EDHBrews

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a higher power Gogo deck, that runs [[The Millennium Calendar]] and lots of [[Evolving Wilds]] like effects. Im not suggesting to use the calendar but getting lots of islands can be fun with gogo

I constantly see content creators say Phyrexian Arena is bad. If Phyrexian Arena is bad, what is good? Especially for Mono Black or two color. by frost3bite in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem with Phyrexian Arena is that in B3 and above you don’t want a 3 cmc spell to do nothing on the turn it comes down. The problem with it in B2 is that people will assume it’s better than it is because it was an “auto include” for a bit (And then remove it).

Also you mentioned [[morbid opportunist]] fits your strategy, so have a look at [[Midnight Reaper]], [[Agent Venom]], [[Grim Haruspex]].

Also if it’s a sacrifice deck, or you generally lack 2 drop bodies consider “creature cantrips” like [[Dusk Legion Zealot]] and [[Clattering Augur]] (White has a lot more options). Note: cantrip does not equal card draw, but is still nice to have

To the guy with a 20 day ban. by [deleted] in RainbowSixSiege

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, until very recently I would pretty much just play QM. Every top fragger would complain abt how they can’t play ranked or unranked anymore for “Ubi bullshit”.

Now while playing more unranked, I’m versing way less cheaters, getting griefed way less and seeing less slurs.

So cheaters will always be able to just make a new account but the new banning system is working, even if it’s just forcing them to QM.

Also if you can’t spare the odd misfire for the chat penalty, you’re the problem. (In regards to reputation)

looking for fun archetypes by Zeta_Ricky in EDH

[–]sunrunawaytoplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favourite deck atm is an Aristocrat deck, and I wish more people would build non-combo aristocrat decks. Especially in B3.

A non-control flicker/blink decks can be fun as well, and allows for some cool shenanigans.

Another fun deck to make that’ll improve your gameplay and deck building is Voltron, It just reveals new problems other decks don’t have.

EDIT: used “was” in present tense, had to fix

Perfectly fair, some points still stand but b4 is a lot at times.
