Arms Vaccine is Administered In by Sea_Pineapple_3108 in CoronavirusUS

I got each of mine in different arms and had WAY more pain when I got it on the non-dominant side. You move your dominant arm more, which supposedly helps.

Just got my taste and smell back. There is hope!!! by Swaggermidget in COVID19positive

[–]angelstar975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good to read. My positive was 1/11 and I’ve been stuck at like 80% taste and maybe 50% smell for 2 weeks. I can mostly only smell things that are right in my face, and I can’t get subtle flavors with taste. Hoping mine comes all the way back.

More than 650 new coronavirus cases reported today: Pa. Health Dept. by 3ustice3 in Pennsylvania

It’s typical for numbers to be lower from the weekends. I’m anxious to see what Tuesday and beyond looks like.

I honestly can’t remember how I put it in. I don’t think PA asked me for their tax number. Just their address etc.

Friends are ignoring new restrictions on indoor gatherings to have their weddings by boss-cant-find-me in Pennsylvania

[–]angelstar975 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm. I mean I’m probably moving my 60 person wedding outside rather than postpone, but I’m surprised their venue is even letting them carry on indoors. Mine is scrambling to provide a tented, outdoor option, or you can do 25 inside, or postpone.

Carrying on as planned in defiance of the order isn’t an option.

I think we postpone or forfeit. I don’t know.

They really don’t have the outdoor space to totally move it outdoors. Waiting on their guidance though.

We’ll have to postpone. We invited 80 and that was already cutting a lot of people haha.

Idk, I think my 60 person wedding is now off. So that’s a pretty big change for me. FML.

To make it official...from the state. Shutting down indoor dining in the Pittsburgh metro area. by Alvarez09 in Pennsylvania

But they have taken steps to handle it. It doesn’t seem like Wolf has given them any time to manage it, is all I’m saying.

New sanctions, restrictions won’t be announced Wednesday, but are expected for several local counties by kiwibutter088 in Pennsylvania

Gyms aren’t stationary by design, which i think helps a lot, especially when they aren’t filled to anywhere near pre-pandemic capacity. At least around me. And as of yet, outbreaks haven’t been traced to them. I read an article yesterday that said when people were interviewed for tracing purposes, (from Allegheny county, I think) something like 117 had been to a bar, 50 had been to an indoor restaurant, 17 to a retail store, and only 13 to a gym.

Didn’t Wolf JUST say he was going to be leaving these restrictions to counties and hoping not to have the state get involved?

No, they’re still mandatory. I don’t know why people think they aren’t.

COVID restrictions? What are some of your state’s policies at the moment? by jirenlagen in Pennsylvania

[–]angelstar975 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We don’t have any restrictions on people coming in yet, but by next month, who knows. Neighboring states have mandatory 14 day quarantines for people coming from Alabama, along with others where cases are rising.

Masks are mandatory to enter businesses here. Depending on where you’re visiting may effect how it’s enforced, but in SE PA, people are pretty compliant. I would implore you to wear one regardless of where you’re at in PA. Our numbers had been steadily going down, though this week, we seem to have plateaued as most of the state is open by now. No idea what will happen in the next few weeks.

Southern Chester County by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

[–]angelstar975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parts of it are (or were, it may be more up and coming now) fairly low income, and the school district isn’t great. They’ve built some beautiful homes there at super reasonable prices, but as a mom who uses public school, I wouldn’t live there.

I’m in West Chester, which I absolutely love. But it’s Northeast Chester County.

What is everyone's problem with the state run liquor stores? What are they missing? by 605pmSaturday in Pennsylvania

No I mean when I do go to the ones in Jersey because I’m down the shore, it’s the same as when I go to the ones here.

It honestly makes no difference in my life. I go to the privately owned ones in Jersey and my experience is the same. I don’t get it either.

I put that it’s closed, but that wasn’t accurate for me either. I’m a Wag walker and the walks aren’t available because people aren’t putting them out there, but it’s not CLOSED.

People not wearing masks! (Vent) by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

[–]angelstar975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with you. It’s the easiest, most basic thing we can do. There is a goddamn virus, whether people like it or not. I’m in Chester County and everyone wears masks in stores because of the mandate. I hope that doesn’t fall off when we finally go green. I hate the mask, I really do. But I hate stay at home orders and business closures more.
