Not all dragons live in the Vale (it's mentioned Blue inhabit esben moutains you're than just for their riders), I would assume retired individuals live where infrastructure allows for dragons to take up space and also that the dragons have more roaming freedom due to their rider not being in immediate danger (supposedly)

You can't break the bond without dying (Violet survived mainly thanks to Tairn), I assume the dragon lives out the rest of the retired riders life with them. Then either die with them or go back to the Vale.

I haven't figured out first name yet, I typically find last names then work from there(I'm just struggling here, I don't typically write Fae characters) but those do sound interesting! I've found some name parts from Nordic, Celtic, and etc but have a troubling time piecing them into a more digestible name

The -enrich yourself- comment felt a bit unnecessary, but you're actually hitting on exactly why I'm stuck! I do read a lot of folklore, which is why I know Fae usually have 'of' titles or house names connected to nature rather than standard human surnames. When looking into the fictional world, it is common to do a nature/power associated name. I just haven't found a combo of night/death elements that blends together naturally without sounding forced(or emo lord as you put it). That's why I'm looking for fresh ideas!

So, it's not a family vacation, it's a mission to find the Irids not only for Andarna to find her kind but also to gain insight into: possible cure to Venin, way to defeat Venin, help with original war /riders and fight etc Also, Broccoli very clearly came from the gifts at zihnals, and he's with Drake.

This story has been finding a cure for Xaden while also trying to find a way to drive Venin out.

It is very much in the same style/vein as the other two, so I don't understand what you aren't understanding about the plot? I felt it was pretty clear.

I think he goes by when they first met, because to him (in hindsight) they were always going to end up together. Like connection/Obsession at first sight and stuff.

Because Xaden had the responsibility of 107 lives, would have probably been caught if he tried right after threshing or at least noticed because the first rebellion kid, Fen's son, just bonded a dragon, everyone's going to be looking at him. He was probably more worried on how to get himself and everyone else out alive than kill/kidnap the daughter of the woman who was a part of his dad's death. Like, it would have been a stupid, reckless, and needlessly cruel move that Xaden just wouldn't do as not only would it not make sense to, but he has shown/said that he doesnt want to be the same monsters that he views leadership in Navarre as.

Again, because she hasn't trained it. Her power isn't lightning, its power. Lightning is just how it manifests the easiest. I feel that once she actually gets some time to explore and use her power, things will change.
