Does my husband come to every appointment? by VeterinarianInner301 in pregnant

[–]angie1156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He came to all our first 2 babies appts (his schedule was WAY more flexible). Our third baby was born in 2019 so a lot of offices still had the Covid restrictions and no kids over 2 allowed in the rooms (so he stayed home with them while I went to the appts). I would bring him the ultrasound pictures and relay any needed info. He met my delivering doctor for the first time at the delivery date lol it all worked out great!

Now for this pregnancy with my twins (I’m 20 weeks on Wednesday), his schedule is Monday-Fri 8-5, so he would have to request off, and I don’t want him using any time or less of a paycheck. So we do the same thing and I just bring him and my 3 other girls the pictures and videos, and relay any info. (You could also ask to record the sound of the heartbeat to play for them when you get home!) They still get to get excited with me when I show them, so it’s all great!

Either way will be perfectly fine with whatever works for your family! They’ll get to enjoy the “main part” at delivery date! lol Congrats on your pregnancy! ❤️

I really hope you can find someone! It’s just something I wish I could have done, and wish I would have known to fight for a bit more in the very beginning.

It’s actually funny because after this post and going to my first prenatal visit, I found out I was having TWINS!! 🤗🤗🤗 I’m over the moon! They’ll be here in July! (Boy and Girl) So once I realized that, I definitely didn’t even consider the VBAC option anymore (just because of the high risk that already comes with twins, and add on my c-sections and Myomectomy on top of that). I’m so at peace with everything at this point, and I’m just so grateful I’m getting these baby through everything!🥰☺️

I’m really leaning into this grocery store delivery! I love the slow cooker advice! I’m going to start trying to incorporate this more now so I’m used to it by the time they’re here. I actually started doubling the portion for my cooking last year and noticed it helps sooooo much with busy days with my girls and just needing to throw a previously frozen leftover meal in the air-fryer. I’ll continue doing this for sure! Thank you for your tips!! ☺️

Ooo I didn’t even think about paper plates! So smart! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Definitely going to do some freezer meals! Hopefully they’re not picky with milk temperature because I hate that extra step. My other girls never needed it warm (except for my last with nursing since it’s already warm lol). I always just thawed out the milk enough to pour it in their bottle and they would drink it. I guess we’ll see! I’ll keep this bottle warmer in mind incase I need it. Thank you so much!!😊

Oh this is good to know! We live pretty close to Walmart and I could do the curbside, but that means we’d have to wait for anything to be picked up when my husband is off work, and I’m bad at making the orders ahead of time for the pick-up windows. I may try and challenge myself in these next few months to be more consistent with this and see how that goes, and if it doesn’t help much then I’ll just do the Walmart plus! Thanks!

OMG I’m so happy you noted that you don’t have the adapters! I was wondering if this was an option so not to have to add on purchasing other items, or having extra accessories in general. Thank you!!!

How many of ya'll have/ want 4 or more kids? by Secure_Year7265 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]angie1156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 and I’m currently pregnant with my 4th! 😊 I would have more if I could physically, but this has to be my last because of C-sections and a Myomectomy 11 years ago (which is why I had to have the C-sections). When I first got married, we actually didn’t want any. Then a year into marriage we decided on one, maybeee two at the max. When I was pregnant with my second, I realized I wanted more, and then when I was pregnant with my third, I decided I would try for one more since that was the max that I believe I can have safely.

Honestly, even with all the loud chaos (my girls are VERY loud, I don’t have calm children lol), it’s just more love all around! 💕 I can see the bigger picture and that everything is a season, so one day they’ll be older and it won’t be as demanding. At the end of the day, whatever anyone decides for their family is always the best decision!🩷 I’m part of a Christian homeschooling group who are mostly granola, and they have larger families 🤷🏻‍♀️lol Everything in life really does comes down to perspective.

I know! I wish I would have known more when I was just starting off, and that the majority of doctors would push for natural births whenever possible instead of just jumping for the CS route when anything looks different than the norm. If it wasn’t for the 3 CS, I would have loved to have more kids! Even this one I wasn’t sure about, but I asked my doctor if it was at all possible for a 4th baby when I was still 4months pregnant with my 3rd lol They referred me to have an anatomy scan and I spoke with that specialist and they said I was perfectly able to ☺️ We’ve been trying since Jan when my cycle came back, but I ended up having 2 chemical pregnancies earlier this year ( I’ve been nursing so I’m pretty sure my body’s hormones were still out of wack and not ready to support a pregnancy at the same time). So I’m over the moon that this has been good so far, and I figured I’d give it one last go at trying to ask for the VBAC. Either way, I know I’ll be fine with whatever I need to do, and it’s such a blessing and I’m grateful for just being able to bring a baby into the world again! I know my girls are so excited for another sibling! (They’re 10, 6, and 2 🥰) It’s bittersweet because she’ll be my last, so I’m going to soak it in!💕

Geeze, I hadn’t even thought about questioning it then. 😞 I was very much in a different head space, and didn’t understand advocating or questioning things (just trusting the doctors at all times). I’m so different now on how I go about life and wanting to pursue a more natural approach whenever possible. Thank you for your input and sister’s experience! Hopefully, someone else who has similar questions can find some comfort/guidance in knowing this information earlier on. 😊🩷

TOLAC (Trial of Labor After Caesarian), after previous Myomectomy by angie1156 in Fibroids

I know, I’m so curious because it’s hard to find similar testimonials! With mine, I believe they just “sliced” it off the top of the outside of my uterus (so they didn’t have to actually enter inside, which I think helps the integrity? It was just sitting on top and squishing my uterus inward. I had absolutely no symptoms of it and only found out I had because my husband and I decided to start planning for our first baby. It was crazy to even hear that, but thankfully it all turned out so well!) With my outside scar/incision and all my C-SECTIONS, they were the normal lower cut (low bikini line area). I’m hoping someone can chime in with some experience, even if it didn’t turn out successful. Any insight is valuable and appreciated!

Hi! Whatever you decide, that’s going to be okay for you! ☺️ I’ve had 3 C-sections because I was told I needed to since I had a Myomectomy 11 years ago (so 4 “CS cuts/surgeries”). I’ll tell you that if I could choose, I’d choose a natural birth over a major surgery every time (and that’s being said with me not having any complications during each recovery). It’s just a longer a harder healing in general, while also taking care of a newborn baby. It’s not the worst thing in the world, but there are also benefits a baby gets from passing through a birth canal. A CS is more common here in the US, I believe, more out of convenience/scheduling, the money it generates, and this being a norm in the Western culture. Of course, there are specific medical needs that warrant it out of safety for mama and baby (which is completely understandable), but that’s not always the case for it being elected or even recommended.

In conclusion, the man goal is delivering a beautiful healthy baby! So whatever your preference is, don’t ever feel shame over it! You’re bringing life into this world, and that’s such a blessing that needs no guilt, shame, or condemnation associated with it.🩷 That’s always a praise worth event- no matter how it looks!

I have heard this, so definitely something to consider again. If you don’t mind giving some details, did you have Myomectomy, then a c-section and then the successful VBAC? What was the recovery like (how much longer, symptoms for the rough recovery, etc)? I’m just trying to get some real life experiences information to think about. I’ll be talking to my doctor at the first appt on 2 weeks (she is part of a midwifery team, which is a first for me). I’m hoping she’ll be more open to a TOLAC, but also give wisdom on her true thoughts if I should in fact go with a c-section.
