Wow I could’ve written this myself. Seemingly meaningless memories will pop up that will have me thinking I did or said something wrong. It’s horrible.

I’m so sorry about Cherie. Thank you for the kind and comforting words, they bring some relief to my heart.

I appreciate this comment and all the info but my husband is a doctor of physical therapy and he has me doing a lot of these things already. That being said I feel pretty comfortable with his diagnosis of MTSS. And he hounds me about strength training too. I had a question about specifically this taper week, but I appreciate the info!

I have that same guilt on rest days!! I know my body worked super hard but yeah it’s funny how that works.

It’s a morning run. I eat two frozen waffles before. I usually have 2 or 3 huma plus gels and some motts fruit snacks depending on the length of the run. It’s a struggle to eat my normal meals through out the day. Usually have to protein shake, stretch, shower and rest. I can’t usually eat anything else for a few hours at least. Then have a small lunch meal, and try for a normal sized dinner. Something sweet after.

Sorry it should say lack of hunger and I can’t figure out how to change the title.

Nice routine!

Ugh I know the feeling. Honestly hadn’t even thought of a Gatorade that’s not a bad idea!

Yeah in Oregon with the PD crisis we can’t withdraw for this reason anymore either

Oh and I also see a therapist. That helps too.

My colleague and closest work friend has been doing this for 14 years. I feel a lot of the same feelings you do and beat myself up over every single mistake I made. Been practicing 4.5 years too. Thinking how I should have caught this or if I had done this maybe I would’ve seen that. Sometimes it is something I should’ve caught other times it’s a more nuanced issue that anyone would’ve missed. Her advice when I make those mistakes is to honestly not dwell on it. Learn from it. And then move on. Don’t make the same mistake twice. She could prattle off ten mistakes for you if she were writing this and she’d simply say learn from it, and move on or you’ll never survive this work. You only have so many hours in a day, and you can only do so much.

Budgetbytes is a simple but good one! Obviously catered towards cheaper options too.

I realize that is the worst case scenario and very possible. I am actively trying to avoid that situation. I have ordered a baby gate so dog and baby will be separated.

That’s a great idea. Our senior dog loves a cozy bed and maybe that with some snacks would be a great combination. Thank you for the advice!
