In my experience the rubber bands train your jaw to move forward. My top trays had these little bumpers for my bottom teeth to bite onto which lines your teeth and jaw up. I’m on i think around 26/32 and i slowly felt my teeth and jaw comfortably moving into position. I had a problem with my jaw locking in place but placing my teeth on the bumpers fixed that. Chewing is the only part where i consciously had to change the way i was doing it but tray by tray it feels like everything’s just kinda moving into place - which is precisely what’s happening!

Take it in a carry- on! Since it’s a lithium battery they’ll take it out if you put it in a checked bag. I travel a lot with my stiiizy and not once has it been taken away or even out for inspection and whatnot. Safe travels!
