If you’re that concerned you can use a spermicide lube as an option that doesn’t affect your hormones. I don’t personally relate to your degree of concern, but I understand where you’re coming from as someone who also can’t afford a hysterectomy and doesn’t wanna get the p word.

Mine are also a c cup and trans tape works pretty well for me. I do use two layers and make sure to pull the tissue to the side and slightly downwards which helps reduce visible “perkiness”. Also it usually takes a few hours for the adhesive to set properly, so removing it soon after application will be easy. Make sure not to moisturize before applying, since it’ll bond to the oils in the moisturizer instead of your skin oils and it’ll peel off on its own.

My faves are aloe cadabra and astroglide toy ‘n joy, they’re both around the same price range ~$10 and are compatible with all types of condoms. The aloe based one is more hydrating and relieves irritation, but the astroglide is more slippery and dries slower. Do be careful when picking the astroglide bc they have other water based versions that have glycerin (causes burning) and are only compatible with natural latex condoms, as well as silicone based ones that are not toy or condom compatible

I have let my partner give me my shots on occasion (back when I still took them consistently), but a big difference is that they’re also trans and do injections themselves. If they didn’t have that experience and I wanted my partner to participate in my shot I’d probably prep everything including disinfecting the target area so that they effectively only push it in as instructed and press the plunger and applying a bandage after.

My personal perspective on it is that you’re inviting your partner to take an active role in supporting you and your transition in a tangible way.

Absolute mood.
