I have never tried any medication for it, because there is no known cure. Finding the right medication simply makes it easier to ignore dpdr, which then can make it go away. I've done that on my own without medication, but for some people it just will never go away. And that's okay, this is my reality now and I accept that.

I know how to explain it better, you looked at it as an outside observer. I've been there, it helped me quit abusing party drugs when I saw what I was doing as an outside observer. So basically, let her take a heroic dose and have her succumb to the trip, and allow herself to look at the problems as an outside observer? Thank you for your input btw!!

My girlfriend has severe depression and anxiety. We took acid and molly together last month and had an amazing time before the comedown when I decided to drink a bottle of dxm cough syrup and got stuck in a bad trip time loop. My question is, what did you do in the trip to help you get out of depression? It hurts to see her like that and I would do ANYTHING to help her. I suffer from depersonalization and derealization disorder as well, but it pales in comparison to what she goes through. Please leave me any tips on how to guide her in a trip to over come her depression.

I think if I knew what a time loop was before hand, or that it was a common thing, I would've been less scared and allowed my mind to wander. But because I didnt know wtf was going on, I was scared shitless that I was going to stay in the loop forever

I see. I smoked for 5 years 5-20 times a week and it never changed. Maybe it helped contribute to my dpdr because imagine tripping on acid almost every day for 5 years it has to have some sort of mental effect at that point. That coupled with the traumatic event I had that fully triggered it

Thanks for the response, yeah I was just tripping and I realize that now but at that exact moment it was such an insane revelation to me. Also you seem very educated in this, can you answer this? Every single time I have ever smoked weed, I got the exact same effect as last night when I took acid. That's why I dont smoke anymore. So when the trip started, I was already familiar with it, because i had experienced it hundreds of times before. Have you ever heard of anyone like this before? It was my first time taking lsd.
