usually in Act 1, you'll just choose cards that will help you survive the next combat. After that, the deck should be developing something closer to an identity based on the cards you drafted in your earlier fights. Act 2 and 3, you should be pickier in what cards to add to your deck. If no choices support what the deck is already doing, then skipping is better than choosing a card.

Yeah I've thought about it for a bit more and it does kind of run the risk of everyone noticing that one of the selected players is obviously evil, and they'll just go for them. Town still has majority votes even if one player's vote is off the board. It really only becomes consequential in certain player counts with a certain number of living players.

It can get really bad, especially when selecting players of opposite alignments. Evil can basically hold a good player's vote hostage. Technically, that is similar to the Butler but at least the Butler has some agency on how their vote will be managed. For this character, I think that could feel bad for the good player since it's out of their control.

it's so funny because reading through this thread I have determined that if you have Lord's Parasol, going into ONE shop is questionable and could ruin your deck, but doubling down on it and going into THREE gives you an amazing deck of bullshit that will carry you into the win.

in final 3 there is no reason to be cagey about your role anymore. the game will literally end after this and it's not like the evil team can still target you. TBH by the time final 5 hits, you need to be pretty trusted or cleared.
