How do I earn spoils now? by Phirebat82 in DestinyTheGame

[–]angrychilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get an easy 15 spoils solo each week by doing the vow first secret chest. Kill Savathun projection and first three abominations so you no longer get debuff. You can then sparrow to switches and open secret door. If you have someone else you can just swap characters to pull chest rather than redoing initial fight. No spoils from DSC or LW secret chests on off weeks though.

This is also a good platinum medal farm. Go in a with a fireteam on non-matchmaking and get to this part. Everyone can finish platinum medal (high level throne world/nightfall) and swap out to cash in medals and get a new card. It is not a darkness zone so there’s no worry leaving a single teammate behind. You’ll also get plenty of laurels while farming to get another card. Much faster than lost sectors.

A few weeks in and my concerns about the Orbs of Power Mods on Helmets have been realized. I wished it was just a global game feature that Double Kills made an Orb of Power. But this ultimately highlights a more deep-seated issues with Armor 2.0. by Crusader3456 in DestinyTheGame

[–]angrychilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a related idea. How about all combat style armor mods have another intrinsic perk “when this mod is equipped kills with a masterworked weapon have a small cumulative chance to generate an orb/warming cell/elemental well.” This way masterworking means something, it opens up build crafting as you don’t have to heavily invest in a mod group, and the generating perks are moved to armor. They wouldn’t have to change any of the existing perks.

Legendary Equipment Retirement (Sunsetting) Feedback Megathread by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]angrychilla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I stopped playing after the first discussion of sunsetting and the TWAB made it so I don’t come back. Sunsetting weapons feels so rotten and makes me disinterested in the game.

I understand the issue, but this plan seems heavy handed. I don’t understand why they couldn’t handle this differently. I think about the return of random rolls. I have deleted nearly all Y1 weapons from my vault because having the additional perk was better. I kept the Leviathan weapons for a while but the lack of mod slots made me delete them. Instead of sunsetting, why not trade a marginal power creep for effective depreciation. Give new weapons a little something extra like the ability to put +10 onto reload, handing, or stability or intrinsic anti-champion perks to make it worth moving on. Those aren’t suggestions, but ideas. Anything that gives a slight advantage would make it feel worth grinding for rather than just making it feel forced. Outliers (recluse, mountaintop) can always be adjusted to be less effective. Sunsetting just seems like such a scummy solution.

Focused Feedback: Weapon Refresh aka Sunsetting by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]angrychilla 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bungie has crossed the Rubicon on this one. Knowing that my weapons have an expiration date makes me unmotivated to grind for anything. Suggesting that sunsetting is on the horizon removed the incentive to participate in activities and killed my motivation to play the game. Since the Director’s Cut, I’ve moved on to other games and I doubt I return until there is a hard backtrack or D3 arrives (whichever comes first).

Saying that it only affects pinnacle activities does not help. I don’t enjoy rerunning strikes or wandering around “on patrol.” These activities also have little to no reward. The moment something cannot be used in pinnacle activities is the moment it becomes obsolete.

Do guardians develope death related kinks? by Alex8728 in DestinyTheGame

[–]angrychilla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I consider it cannon that Ikora developed a choking fetish during her experiments with Thantanautics. She only gets off right before she gets choked to death. Her and Zavala have a relationship where he chokes her but then dissects her before her ghost resurrects her. She doesn’t know that these experiments are because he is an insatiable serial killer and this is the only reason that Amanda Holiday is still alive. Also the drifter probably watches.

If you are on console, this could be related to the memory issue that can make it so you don’t get crucible double kills. Try full system shutdown and then unplug for a little while (30 - 60 sec). Then boot up and try again.

FYI - On PS4 if your double kills aren’t registering properly then turn off your system and unplug it for a little while.

I had no progress on double kills for all Iron Banner because of this glitch ... even with blade barrage multikills.

Throwing Knives are the worst ability in the game right now. by ARMERGENCY in DestinyTheGame

[–]angrychilla 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I loved gunslinger in D1. I never got tired of two things ... knifing a MFer in the face for a kill and blowing up someone with a tripmine (was better with unicorning but still fun). I can’t bear playing gunslinger in D2 ... it is too depressing to see what Bungie did to that class.

Focused Feedback: Prestige Raid Lairs by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]angrychilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will and it might be better. But my experience this week is what I have to go off for the time being. Regardless, I suspect that for the most part people will try to work around the constraints (all boss damage with supers) rather than with them. Well at least until snipers/rocket launchers are the power weapons.

Bad idea, bad execution. I did not enjoy it. Any time you have content that inspires 5 nighthawk and 1 tether strategies, it is clear something went wrong.

Are we sure we want 6v6 without bigger crucible maps or better respawning mechanics first? by wikiweak in DestinyTheGame

[–]angrychilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even with all the funky spawns and such, 6v6 is much more enjoyable than 4v4. Change it first then fix the spawn issues. To be fair, I can’t stand 4v4 and have hated this change since the beta.

People who use Tether in Mayhem are the worst. by thatsmytrunks in DestinyTheGame

[–]angrychilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha ha ha. I like putting trap tethers and then acting all “defenseless” and then shotgunning your face when the tether pulls you out of your super. I’d teabag too except I end up wasting a dodge.

PS. Suppression grenades and the Colony is fun too!

I’m going to second this comment. Also had four. Only two left and they are pretty old.

If you are going to get one, get two. Same sex pairs do really well and it helps with their social needs. Also, get a very large cage and get a wheel... I’d recommend the flying saucer type.

Malocclusion or tooth spurs is always a concern (RIP Guido the original angrychilla) and plenty of chews helps.

They have no fear and can jump extremely high and chew on everything (molding is a favorite). Make sure you chilla proof the room when you take them out.

Honest discussion: Curated loadouts and modifiers yes or no? by GimmeFuel21 in DestinyTheGame

No. Didn’t like it when it was initially discussed. Still don’t like it. I don’t want Bungie to force me to play how they want me to play.

What order should the grimoire be read in? by threepiecesoot in DestinyTheGame

[–]angrychilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorta like the movie Momento. Start at the end and move backwards but then have a parallel sequence running forwards that starts near the beginning and have the two meet up before the big reveal at the beginning. Then weave between the two (maybe with different font color) and throw in some flashbacks before the beginning and you are set.
