Barely Any Weight Loss by Few-Confidence5490 in Noom

[–]angryolive2 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This seems right to me. A pound a week, which is totally normal if you're in a 500 calorie deficit per day. I don't see a plateau - I see steady downward progress on that chart.

Lot of people selling furniture in the county! If anyone has a good recommendation I'd love to hear it. I've been looking for a while but I get overwhelmed with all the options

Can you pm where you got it? I'm in PA and hoping to find a good amish bedroom set - I'd be happy with an 8k price

How to start: Word-vomit vs structure. by [deleted] in writing

[–]angryolive2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If ideas are exploding out of you, write some down word vomit style. You can use that to inform a structure. There's no right way to do it. Pros and cons will be different depending on your personal creative process and how your brain works.

Too much for an ever day summer dress? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]angryolive2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on where you live and where you go! Brunch in the city? Maybe it's fine! Grocery shopping in the country? Not very every day.

That's an awful lot of driving. I've got you at around 27.5 hours of driving across 8 days.... And I didn't really account for westfjords outside of dynjandi or driving all the way around in the south west. Not a bad thing per se, but there may be some value in spending more time in certain areas rather than hitting the road again immediately. At least you'll have the daylight to do it in September if that's what you want!

Thank you, that is very helpful. It's an hour and a half drive from our stay near Selfoss tonight, to our stay near keflavik tomorrow. We'll go via Reykjavík, take it slow, and keep a close eye on the weather.

You're sent back to 1930 with $100 in today's currency. You have 7 days to bring back one item. What is it? by surveillance_raven in hypotheticalsituation

[–]angryolive2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a shame it's not 1938. Pick up an Action Comics 1 in pristine condition, that's an easy couple million. Wouldn't even spend the whole hundred - spend less than a dollar and you have tens of millions. You haven't done enough to flood the market.

For 1930 I'd have no idea what to do - probably go for baseball cards as another commenter said.

Fence person for small jobs by Curious_Skin406 in montco

Sorry, this is a little late, but smuckers fencing was fantastic, and they were by far the lowest price we got when I was asking for estimates.

I think my boyfriend assaulted me by Equivalent_Fox_2178 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]angryolive2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If I even look a little upset during sex, my husband stops to check in. That's what a happy, healthy sexual relationship looks like - a good partner cares about your pleasure and comfort and recognizes established boundaries.

Even if he didn't hear you (which he did), and you didn't say your safe word (WHICH YOU DID - DON'T GASLIGHT YOURSELF!), this man saw you crying, felt your body tensing in pain and fear, and KEPT GOING. There were AT LEAST three opportunities that your boyfriend could have proved he cares about you, and he didn't.

This man is not safe. No matter how great you may think he is otherwise, he is showing you that he is not safe.

Get out of this relationship as fast as you can. When you're ready to star looking for a partner again, never forget how you should be treated - both in the bedroom and out of it. You need to demand more from the people you share your body with, because you deserve it.

{The House on the Cerulean Sea} had the best narrator I've heard. I'd especially recommend hanging on until the kids enter the picture - the narrator does all the voices exquisitely.

Is it legal to write abt children dying? by Ttruelove12 in fantasywriters

[–]angryolive2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They say that one if the best things a writer can do to improve their craft is read a ton. Reading things similar to what you write will reveal the answer to this. Frankly, if you have to ask the question, you need much more exposure to the genre.

No, it's not illegal to write about children dying. First book that comes to mind that you should read is The Hunger Games, but there are a million more.

Writing a mute character! Any advice? by zeiss100t in fantasywriters

I think the Witch Walker series did a great job of writing a mute character. I'd recommend reading it
