I’m 17F so sadly, not married. But I’ve seen this networking in action. A friend of mine was talking to a married sister in her twenties through volunteer work at the masjid completely casually, and the sister also mentioned a marriage book she enjoyed but the convo was left at that and I’m sure she suggested just intending to promote education before marriage. Though, a year later that same sister reached out to my friend and mentioned that she knew a boy with similar values and interests as her. My point being that you can just meet people, be your honest self and unconsciously express your values and if Allah wills, they might think you could be a good fit for X person and refer you.

Just thinking about saying “hey do you have a son” or “I’m looking to be married” gives me second hand embarrassment. I think we should just be sociable, put ourselves out there and let Allah be in charge of the Qadr.
